  1. I could say it was full of losers but then what does that make me lmao. Its like a "its behind you....... oh no its not.... oh yes it is". Having fun tho to say the least
  2. I have two cats (did have 3 but one died of shock after a near miss with a car) and I'm looking after my daughter's 12 month old puppy who is driving me and the cats crazy lol. He is a King Charles/Jack Russell cross and thinks he needs to round the cats up quite regularly. As a result (in a 3 storey house) it sounds like a herd of elephants running rampant, especially as my remaining 10 month old kitten has got it into her head to eat Mr Binx's dog kibble instead of her own. He takes exception to this and war ensues. The hurtling of two small bodies up and down 2 flights of stairs, over every bed in the house and then around the lounge tends to drive one insane after a while. Trying to keep everyone separated and happy is totally insane and I fear I shall lose it pretty soon, if I haven't all ready that is. Not sure to be honest, gosh was that a flying chocolate pig that went past my window???? I think I'll invest in some goldfish, will be quieter........
  3. I like anything that makes me smile
  4. I agree with bben, I took my first degree when I was 38 and loved every moment of it. I definitely wasn't ready for uni when I was in my 20's it would've been wasted on me lol. Good luck with whatever you do and like our Robert the Bruce, if at first you don't succeed then try, try then try again.
  5. I'm in the UK and we too are supporting the war effort. I've had friends in both war zones and thankfully they have all returned home safely and for that I am immensely grateful. I am also grateful for those still out there risking their lives for me and mine and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing what I cannot. Enjoy the time you have with your new wife, when you leave, speak to her and your friends as often as you can (that's the greatest thing about the internet I believe). Keep in touch with those of us left behind as this will help keep you sane in a world full of insanity. Here on Nexus we are a family and look after our own, love and respect each other, support and aid each other when needed. We will be here when you need us to talk and to listen. Good luck, keep safe and I will pray for your safe return.
  6. Oh wow, you are both so lucky. As the mother of 6 and grandmother of 3 and godmother of 1 and foster mom of (gosh I lost count) having kids (of any age) keeps you young, fit and expands you mentally. Of course there are downsides like loss of money both earned and spent but that is out weighed totally by the joy and fun you will garner over the next 20 years plus. Your life will be so different through your own children and their children etc etc. Life will never be the same again. Watch the world through their eyes and enjoy every moment. When you feel low and want to crawl into a hole and give up, your child will make you smile and if they are not available then look at the pictures they produce and you have taken.... it works for me. Hold onto those memories any way you can and like I said, enjoy every moment. Remember to have the quiet times together (you and your future wife) and laugh together every day over the antics of your young one(s). This will keep you together and help you enjoy the moments missed. Good luck, have fun and congratulations. I'll be thinking of both of you.
  7. A Robin Hood of the laundry world, who'd guess :) My mother used Tide when I was a kid in the UK, good to see its still going strong... even if it is on the black market.
  8. I don't know, its great to show appreciation for the things created by our amazing modders on here but there are so many one can't do for all. How else does one show this appreciation?? For me it is through the endorsement and voting systems, I can't afford to do it any other way unfortunately. Not unless there was a kitty type pot where one put an amount to be divided up amongst everyone. In any event, I do hope our amazing family realise how appreciative we are of their efforts and contributions.
  9. omg the children have taken over the asylum once again, typical
  10. @ SubjectProphet - off somewhere nice or not so.... in any event, take care of yourself honey, will think of you xx
  11. Once there was a golden cheese lying atop the army's daisy cutters because he was recently kicked by every duck in the southern islands because of the lasagna becoming increasingly stinky and mean towards them. This time they would enjoy transforming into lasagna eating monsters that would obliterate all Italian restaurants because they're racist toward practically everyone else other than Irish Snaggle Chickens whose eggs were white but very good for you and it would be even better if you boiled them with cheese but watch out Alistair is about to smash you and steal the golden Mario statue which turns you into a plumber which really sucks toilets. However, Alistair loves cheese and has just seen a large Burmese python which doesn't like cheese cause it hates Alistair... who stood on ...
  12. I think you're all nuts to be completely honest lol
  13. party time and I got through it lol
  14. Oh good grief, will you children please grow up and post something sensible "......." huh, if you can't say something nice and proper don't say anything at all (as my mom would say, slightly adjusted for dots lmao).

  20. It does help, does it not, if someone actually posts something other than dots. Words of wisdom, something funny or profound that should win it lol
