I've had the same problem, Try waiting a few hours or fast traveling somewhere and then back...

I have same problem, But it also happens with staffs, I have it sheathed, its on my back, but when I draw it it stays on my back and I have another one in my hand, it does the same for left handed weapons to when I'm using a female character. (I move it back afterwards) and I run boss before and after... :( Sooooooooo
