  1. This will almost certainly be the cause of your problems. Addons like this block things indiscriminately. Try turning them off or add an exception for the "users.nexusmods.com" domain. Nope, not happening. Repeating I fall under CA privacy law. My info is private and not to be sold to any third parties. Hence the IP blocking as well. I'm deleting the account with permission from the other. Also, I'm getting messages to give an endorsement on files I never downloaded.

  6. Altering the NPC's script to do this. How do scripts? I need access to a lot of variables. It will fun to have the lore match the game. Before, you can wear any armor. Now you don't wear the armor, you die. :)

  8. I'v done this quest many times. This time when I bought all the items for battlehorn castle. Nothing Happened. I should be able to go back start adding new monster hides by asking the attendant. The mods list is huge. But i've never had a problem with these mods before. How do I advance the quest?

I'm learning all this from scratch and very limited in play time on games. I'm not going to spend that time trying to get mod working. I can slip in 10min or 20 mins now and then. Also, I'v glanced at someone filling out the upload form, massive. Seen them wait for comments that never come. A few yes votes... I'll pass. Let just stick to debate on the latter issue. Does the lore support killing in one blow? Yes Does it support casting a death spell on player in LOS? Everyone chime in.... if you want. Mod for yourself and share for the those who share your tastes. I know feeling yoru work is underrated is frustrating but you can never know if your work will be popular or not and anyway it'll always award you donation points. The tale about Umaril killing in on sight is just a mean to show you how powerful he's supposed to be. "He can fell even the mightiest of warriors." The sword is the clear choice to kill in one blow. Someone could stay at a distance hit with spells and arrows. So, a death spell is cast if players are at a distance. Well? What do you and others say? If you script the speel to kill the player only if he doesn't have the complete equipment it's OK, otherwise it will make he fight much too difficult. That's what I had in mind. Kill the player at range with an area spell. Kill the player up close with his sword. If you have the armor and weapon, he attempts this and it fails. Then he attacks normally.
  13. I can't find this mod again. I came back and it disappeared. Can someone post the link to it? The store mod where NPC's visit it and you can have items just for display. There is a lot more. I've been searching for days. Also, I need a working mod that makes rare armor and weapons rare. I have piles and piles of rare armor and weapons. Now that i'm at a high level, they pop up all the time. In oblivion, daedra now have armor everytime. ARG! The mods I'v downloaded crash oblivion. Thanks.

  16. I'v managed to edit settings to change the level update message. Adding a spell to NPC should be a easy. Detect if player is in line of sight. If so, NPC casts the self spell with scripted effect. Kill player if they don't have the armor and either one of the weapons. All must be equipped. Ok, I'm not going to upload it. Just for myself. How do I add a custom spell to the list?

  18. Listening to the lore about Umaril, any enemy would be brought down in one blow using his fell power. The armor was created by the gods to combat that power. I'm short on time, but that's the basics. You can wear whatever armor and weapon you want! This contradicts the lore and the spirit of role playing. I want a mod so you have to wear full the suit with either the mace or sword. If you don't, you die in one blow from Umaril. Please make this mod.

  20. I can tweek the words in text, but that's it. Then there's the matter of version numbers. That has to be talked about first. I'v been playing this game on/off for decade. With all the mods, this game never ends. You have to remove all your mods but UOP. Then make the code changes and update the version numbers. It's simple... version numbers can be a date and time: 2020.4.5.9.45
  21. I looked at the 'sLevelUp=20' that doesn't work. You need to alter 'sLevelUp_Default'. Something like that. It now working for me. Thanks to all.

I'm currently using the GotY DVD and in the past I used a DVD version that came bundled along with Bioshock (Oblivion on that disk wasn't version 1.2.0416 so it needed to be updated with the official patch). I checked my archived Oblivion.ini files from both my previous characters (one used the GotY version and one the bundled version) and current character (GotY) and sLevelUp was not in Oblivion.ini for any of those characters (nor was slevelup_default when I just checked for that). If you had that in your Oblivion.ini then either you or some mod added it ... it's not vanilla. - Edit - Maskar did point out that scripting would be the way to go for changing that text at each level up. 'oblivion.ini' in both main folder and the documents folder?
  23. I got to work. LUM level oblivion must have done that. Can you add more vars settings? Like 'sLevelUp21=some text'.
