Hi there, I was just playing around with the idea of a mod where your children/adopted children could grow up and eventually become your companion/s. so when they are kids you have to help them train, or teach them about certain skills in order to shape their growth, and effect the type of companion they will become. for instance if you tell him to use a 2 handed practice sword, he will become more developed towards the 2 handed sword and so on. But other systems and little "training missions" for skills like look picking, maybe having the child lie to his mother for a cookie or something for speech craft. just have alot of ways to shape the way the child developes. After a certain amount of time, or skill level (makers choice) they child reaches the teenage/young adult stage, where you can actually start taking them with you into the world and into combat, then they develop and learn their skills along the lines of how they fight. would be nice to see this mixed in with the Dovakins apprentice (not entirely sure on the name) mod, so you can train your child to use shouts and so on. Eventually the child reaches adult stage, where he can then become somethig more than just a companion, maybe a housecarl, or a thane in his own right.giving you the option to let him take his own path. where he will still be recruitable as a companion but maybe he will go and blacksmith, or something as such. Its a massive undertaking for a mod, but i think it would bring a whole new level of gameplay. and be a nice way to re-encourage plays and other mod makes who feel skyrim doesnt have anything more to offer. I would try to make this myself, but my skills in mod making are simple at best. Just a suggestion, thanks for reading :)
  2. You could always make some form of cat form, , like a werewold but a saber cat, with a mane... and that dosnt look anime... and looks badass.. XD
  3. I was thinking the same things, not silver, but i was thinking the dawnguard would have something like that (though havnt completed it so i dont know). Should be possible, my creation kits currently broken so ill try fix it then see if i can do it.

This might sound abit over the line/out of place. but this is a western game, it dosnt really need the anime and manga influence, i know its to late to say that, but whats the point of playing a game like skyrim if your just going to make it less... well... good. I apologies if that offends, or unpsets anyone, but i dont really like the fact that half the mods are japanese school girl cloths, or humans with little cat ears, of stupid weapons that are un-wieldable. i mean there are games like Kingdom Hearts for a reason. It dosnt seem right to me to play a game like skyrim, and then use content that makes it look to be a completly different game. Cant you just change the human model with a werewolf one, and be a werewolf all the time. Again apologies for the rudeness. but its getting to me, how most mods arnt lorefriendly, and i have to sift through hundreds of them to find actual mods that i can use.

Technically the first guns were not actually guns, they were cannons, the difference is in the fireing mechanism, but i agree with ones like in assassins creed revlations, the ones that arnt really gun shaped, they are completly straight with no real stock, and they would also have to be match lock. BUT!! as there are the dwemer, and already dwemer gun mods, its possible to have flintlock tech, but it would have to be dwemer. and the reason people dont think they fit in, is becasue in a world of magic its possible to bypass the gun completely, and before bows get drawn in to that statement, a bow is cheaper to make than a gun.... not now adays... but it was... (you know as even traditional English long bows are exactly cheap, as few people make them (properly)).

Hi guys, back with another request, I really, really, hate the vampire lord form, i honestly think it looks stupid instead of scary/vicious. so i thought it would be cool to have the vampire lord form use the model for the gargoyle's. using the model alone isnt to difficult, but the reason i havnt done it myself, is i wouldnt know my wy around animating it to look right, with the lower/hunched over body instead of the staight backed current vamplord, and getting the powers to work properly, and look good whilst casting. Just an idea incase anyone else things the Vampire Lord is alittle "up himself" standing all starigh backed with the look of "*Scoff* im better than you" instead of a "Run for your life" look. Thanks anyone who is reading. P.S. i never really liked vampires, more of a werewolf guy, but having a more badass form for the vampire lord might actually give me cause to play one. P.S.S. if i can do the quest without getting slaughtered in the castle. (Vagueness for anyone who hasnt played Dawnguard yet).

I understand i think, but when you say vampire and werewolf thats not what i was really thinking, i was just think about the playable races, maybe falmer, and i suppose vampire but not the lord form. but i know what you mean it does need something more to it, but same as the game we are designing i dont want to expand on it untill i know its possible, at least in the skyrim editor. But any ideas you have would be great, because if no one does want to make it, ill give it a go myself, and if someone does its always more content for them :D

Hi everyone, Basically im an amatuer games designer, im in a team with a few other people and we are currently making our own game. and during our discussion of content we discussed the ability to make like 5 or so preset faces, then be able to shapshift between in order to hide, just like jaqen hagar in game of thrones (appologies if that is a spoiler to anyone). The premiss for skyrim was to have you do some kind of werewolf/vamp animation where you grab you face as it shifts, and then have it so if you change your face it removes your bouty (on that appearance unless you do something wrong) and each face plus your original one has it on bounty and it also allows you to get around bandits or your choosen apposing faction due if you have them set in a certain way. The draw back to this spell/transformation would be a 3-20 magika a second cost while you were shapshifted and potentially making an aura/cloak NPCs could use to dispell your changed appearance. Now the reason im not making it, is because im a concept designer and cant really fiqure out all out the editor, plus i wouldnt want to make a really bad version that people would be disappointed with. So i thought i would just put it up here, see what people think and see if anyone wanted to try and make it. p.s. if someone does want to make it and wants any more input from me i am "Goblinzan Warrior" on steam and would be happy to throw any more ideas into it. p.s.s just noticed its titled shap shifting, which i apologise for.. but cant seem to edit it...
  9. Yeah, im having a problem with a mod conflict, Shaidors Maze near/in labrynthian (or however its spelt) has half od it missing as well as the floor. I noticed another guy on here who had the same problem and he said he found out which mod was causing the conflict, but he never said what it was, and i have turned a lot of my mods on and off in order to fiqure out what the conflict might be, but i have so many that i dont really want to sift through all of them. so if anyone has any idea how i can fix this issue id really appreciate the help :D

Ok so i got New Vegas yesterday and was playing all night, loved it, didnt even care about the current random crashes. but this morning i find the computer its on cant connect to the internet, windows f***ed up a driver install or something and i cant really fiqure out how to fix it so im waiting for a friend to get back from the states to help me, in the mean time i thought id play Vegas on steams offline mode, but for some reason that wont work either (never has). The steam support page says my account isnt valid even when im signed on another computer with interent and i cant seem to contact them in anyway. Does anyone know a work around for steam to play vegas, or how to get offline mode to work, or even how i can get into to contact with steam to ask them. I wouldnt care if the game had aload of problems fact is i cant even play it :(
  11. I have just installed firefly ranch, just incase something in there could have caused my problems. First off, no matter how much i press the crouch key i cant crouch, and secondly when im in walk mode and i jump, when i land i hit the floor then do a 2 second sprint. im not a sneaky character but i really dont like this inability to crouch, anyone know if an accidental key combination or something could have caused this? Cant "Wait" either but i swear i can sleep at a bed, though my keys are bound defaulty so and when i changed crouch to space it didnt work, so all keys must be working at least from a hardware standpoint.

Hello, I have seen this mentioned before but nothing i can find has been done about it. im looking for a mod where you can Lock, barricade and/or Seal Gates and Doors. the reason for which i want this is RTS (real time settler) i always am on the look out for the perfect place for my RTS town, and i think i found my favourite in the republic of dave. with its fence and its buildings (which i can use throught the use of the OWNED mod) i think its a perfect place to start and exspand from, plus it is very far removed from other civilisation (which is a bonus). But the problem i have is the gate, i dont really want to use the killable children mod, i have a slaver mod already so im evil enough. but the kids can always get in. what i want is a mod where if you have the key you can lock doors, if others do and you cant/dont want to kill them (Children or Essentials) then you can barricade, which can be broken (or not if thats to much to do) and finally the abillity to seal a gate or door for good (unless someone wanted to make it an exsplosive entry point). now i dont mind if all 3 were made or just the lockable gates and doors, but in that case maybe an ability to change the keys to a skeleton key you have so NPC's cant just open it and need you to do so. I have attempted to make this mod (and no matter how pathetic i am by not being able to) i was not able with my current skills, im generally a modeler or mesh creator what ever you want to call it and at the moment i lack the skills to make this mod myself. anyone who can make it or knows of one, i would really appreciate your help.
