  1. Hugely interesting thread. Have been having the same issues back in 2015/2016. Good to see my suspicions were true then. I am testing out the new Unique NPCs mod made by one of these guys in this thread after he redesigned it but I still get the lag spikes unfortunatly. But this might be on me since I might have made some errors during the FOMOD installation and/ or have double mods loading. Will be testing some more. If you manage to get Unique NPCs to work without lag spikes you could delete all the NPC instances in Raider Overhaul so you can have both. Cheers to all the modders and investigators over here, keep it up!
  2. The idea is that when the player and NPC reload they can do so only when walking, not running. For the player there would be two ways to do this: either script it so that the player automatically goes to walking everytime they reload. Or make running and reloading a perk requirement for a new custom perk (recommended) and make a message pop up like "You cannot run when reloading" when you try to reload running. This means however that the player will have to go to walking speed manually(by holding shift or with caps lock). I think this is pretty easy to make/script but since I can't script for s#*! I made this mod request. The reason why is obviously for a bit of realism since in real life even experienced gunmen have a real hard time reloading and walking at the same time let alone running! Most actually stop and stand still when they reload.
