  1. I'll start with those steps to be 100% sure I cover all my bases and report my findings, I'll package all this up and share it on my Dropbox for anyone to nitpick at it and see where I might have possibly gone wrong. (The files in the Dropbox are before going through your steps) Dropbox: Shared Mod Projects Well again, this has been done once before for Fallout 4, with success from what I can tell, so this project isn't impossible, I'm just new to all this and I'm stumped due to my limited experience. FCR with Peter the child companion
  2. As far as I'm aware there's literally no other scripts, I used the "Companion Template" mod and changed the race from "HumanRace" to a modified duplicate of "HumanChildRace" renamed "BellaCompRace" (Child box unchecked, removed the "child keyword" from the keyword list, modified body parts without the child keywords) if I remember correctly for all the parts, body, head, hair, hands, etc. had modified "HumanChildRace" without the child box unchecked tied to those parts. Basically what I'm saying is I didn't build around a Child NPC, I built around the modified "HumanChildRace" and the "Companion Template" mod which had it's own AI Package. EDIT: Here's her AI package, just a sandbox package.
  3. Well, I duplicated and modified "HumanChildRace" should I try using "HumanRace" instead? I know it's possible to do this but it's complicated and confusing to say the least. I haven't checked either Kat or Sheng out, but I can, to see if there's anything special going on with them. Here's Fusion City Rising with a child follower known as Peter, who's kick ass by the way, but that's what I'm aspiring for. I've tried replicating him but with no luck, I may have to study his mod inside and out to learn how to do this. EDIT: If you look in the schoolhouse there's a guard with a gun. EDIT 2: I forgot to mention, the mutants in the video may have been firing at the settlers when she was fleeing, I had "toggled AI" on them to keep the mutants from being attacked by anyone else other than my follower.
  4. Here's her Cover CS Here's her Flight CS I really wouldn't know where to begin to put those scripts, I'm really new to this lol And no other mods installed, completely vanilla, just to make troubleshooting these things at least a little easier. From what I can tell, none of the creatures I spawn in fight each other unless they're completely different (eg. Mutants vs Raiders). EDIT: The CS of hers is unchanged from Piper's aside from the recent change to her "Avoid Threats" being lowered. EDIT 2: Cait and Piper have the exact same CS, so I'm starting to think it's not CS related so much.
  5. No dice, she's still running away, it always seems to be the Super Mutants too, I spawned hundreds upon hundreds of Raiders, and she never seemed to give a s***, but Super Mutants seem to strike the frear of "God" in her. Anyway, it always seems like her gun gets shot out of her hand or something and I guess her "instinct" is "Oh f***, no weapon, run away!" Maybe when her health drops to a certain point she does this, but I've been able to stimpak her a few times while she's still up and health is low, maybe before whatever is triggering this, I don't know, I'm at a loss here. Her CS settings confirmed changed. Video of what the problem is, just captured, even after the CS settings change, same deal as before the CS settings change. (Nevermind the video title, I was just being cheeky)
  6. When I took the screens I thought about that, but I remembered I duplicated Piper's CS for Bella's CS, but I figure I'll give it a shot anyway. Here's Piper's CS:
  7. So, I'm new to modding in general and I wanted to start with a child companion using the mod "companion template" with some adjustments to get this far as a child follower: She attacks, goes down, you can stimpak her (Though the stimpak animation shows the robot repair kit for some reason), you can talk to her, recruit her, dismiss her, send her to a settlement, command her, and tell her to get out of power armor. She's got an assault rifle with unlimited ammo and works great until... something happens and she's disarmed, she starts to retreat and scurries away for a moment then eventually she comes back, she has a switchblade as her backup. What I've got so far: I'm not sure what's tying her down to keep her from staying in combat, but if there's anything else I should share to help diagnose this issue more easily I'll gladly share, I'm really devoted to this and I have someone ready to voice act, but before that I'm letting her do the back story, so she can have an idea of her personality, I figured after I get this issue resolved it should hopefully be smooth sailing from here. My other issues are her following distance and idle marker animations resizing her to fit the animation, I guess because she's not considered a child, the animation just "assumes" she's an adult and resizes her, and I'd like to be able to fix this some how. Anyway, I've got a lot planned for her to be a believable character in the world, and after a week I got stumped and got help from a modder just PMing him, he helped and was very friendly, though he hasn't responded to my last PM so I figured I shouldn't bother him any longer lol (Thank you again sir!) Any help will be greatly appreciated, I'm willing to learn and I WANT to learn, I'm trying to learn as much as I can on my own, but there's very little information out there regarding Fallout 4 CK, I know SOME things can translate over from the Skyrim CK but even then, not for this topic, so again, I'd really appreciate the help to see this project come to life for me as my first mod. Thank you, SilentVII
