  1. Section 8 was a somewhat generic Xbox 360 game with some interesting mechanics and very cool armor. (I actually highly recommend trying it if you can, they just seem to have timed the releases of the 2 games badly and got missed in favor of those year's CoD and Halo releases. it's not AAA level, but defiantly better than 99% of indi). The power armor itself had a pretty unique design, one of the most noticeable features of which was that instead of a visor the helmets featured a number of cameras (4 or 8 depending on faction). While the armor focused more on mobility I've seen power armor mods that already make that a non issue. The guns were also fairly unique as their magazines screwed in from the left and were auto ejected from the right, so there were holes through all of them when unloaded.
  2. occasionally people will do them if they're simple and or actually awesome, i think the original "Really Useful Dragons" started that way.
  3. Pretty self explanatory. Personally I prefer the look of Tech Priests, as Astartes are too bulky got my tastes. Though they have some pretty sweet swords.
  4. In the style of Enderal, a genuine survival game where players start as kids on a beach and have to learn skills from their parents (aka you get perks easily early on but they are harder to get later, and you have to do relevant things to get them, no killing raiders to learn how to swim better.) You play as a hermit/tribal human, ghoul, Super Mutant with a much higher emphasis on crafting, or raiding. You don't care about the "greater good" no kid to search for, just a post apocalyptic person trying to get by any way they can. Needless to say the difficulty is up to 11, food and water, disease, and exposure are genuine concerns, the works.
  5. Rotary magazines have always been interesting to me, stacking bullets into a circle instead of side to side was largely abandoned because it's just kind of really in efficient, yet the British airforce still used the Lewis Gun (roughly ww1 era LMG) until the 1960s. Could we get a Lewis gun or similar rotary magazine weapon?
  6. Pretty self explanatory, I'm looking for a mod that either adds mods to the assault rifle or adds an entirely new weapon with a rotary magazine like the Lewis gun in Battlefields 1 and V. Basically instead of a boring drum mag on an AR you have this disk that spins when firing because the rounds are held in a circle point facing towards the hub and in as many layers as needed. They were abandoned because the layout was inefficient, but Pre-War America in Fallout was the kind of place such a place that would allow such a weapon to be common, provided the manufacturer paid the right people. It doesn't have to be an exact copy, a rotary mag placed on the side of the weapon like a normal one would work too and possibly look even better.
  7. I have this issue except everything that isn't humanoid is doing it's equivalent of a t-pose, this didn't fix it.
  8. Reasons: 1) The water breathing part of the perk is pointless. 2) The rest of the perk is useful. 3) I'm one of those weirdos that likes the added difficulty of stage hazards that aren't instantly fatal. 4) Asking for water dungeons (or their FO4 Friendly equivalent) is next on my list. 5) I tried it myself and it made my PC briefly impersonate a space shuttle then crashed so badly I had to pull the power cord and now my fans sound weird.
  9. Is there a mod that expands on the Assault rifle that makes it more like the weapons it was based on? Specifically the Lewis Gun, with a rotary magazine that spins as you fire (look at BF1 videos for examples) possibly one that's just a vertical, side mounted magazine to make attaching it possible without modifying the rest of the weapon. Also, an option to have the barrel not extend from the cooling cylinder like the original.
  10. The Walther WA2000 is a bit of an odd duck as far as IRL weapons go, but appearance wise it's not too far off from the Bozar (the bullpup version in the mod that already exists) so it's fairly lore friendly (even if Bethesda are willing to throw out the established US assault rifles in favor of steampunk-esque behemoths a lot of us aren't). Basically it's a weapon who's layout practically begs for dozens of mod variations and builds from compact indoor skirmisher types to B**** slap from max draw distance monsters.
  11. The .950 JDJ is basically the biggest rifle ever built to be fired by hand. It was made by SKS, only 3 were ever built, each round is 70mm long, and weighs over 1/2 lb, the rifles weigh 120 lb, 52,000 J of energy per shot (M16s only have 1500 J per shot). They're single shot bolt action, and the ammo was discontinued in 2013. In a world with power armor, this would probably be a fairly common weapon, as it could both be easily used with power armor, and used to crack open said power armor.
  12. this already exists as far as i know, someone made an anime inspired power armor that comes as close to bikini armor as a walking tank can, i dont remember the name but it was Niko something or other.
  13. Crysis was, for a while one of the biggest shooter franchises out there, with more than a few exotic weapons that would fit right at home in fallout lore without much issue. For example: the Volt energy weapon, which is basically a pulse SMG. The Microwave gun (idk it's actual name), which would be a perfect anti-power armor flamer type weapon, and others. Honestly Crysis 3 was a bit crap, but Crysis 2 was exelent, and the armor could be implemented if you made the various modes (armor, stealth, power, speed) into modifications and just carried multiple sets with you. I know both male and female fan made player models are out there, integration shouldn't be impossible and I doubt Crytek would care since they haven't touched the name in years beyond a badly done Warface skin.
  14. The Sten is out, its called a defence gun here though. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14598/ as for the other stuff, the Improvised Tommygun mod kind of creates a semi accurate recreation of some Thompsons used in ww2
  15. Basically FO4 is the first game where power armor is a tank, yet other than missile launchers or a couple of HMG mods there isn't a whole lot of weaponry that really compliments it well. Its a giant walking tank, why do we not get weapons that look like they're meant for a giant walking tank, as in needs power armor to even lift, let alone fire. The weapons included in the AEVegas Vol5 Gatling Alice mod would be perfect for this as they include shotgun-miniguns with realistic fire rates, actual howitzers that look like they were ripped straight from a tank (with 2 ammo variants, shotgun and HE), and the type of HMG you would expect to see on top of a modern military jeep (again with 2 ammo types, regular and explosive). I was told that a mod similar to this used to exist but the author stole assets, got banned, and as far as i can find they never reuploaded it elsewhere. Original mod, Author has given free pass to use it to anyone: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38762
  16. Seeing the dumpster fire Fallout 76 Online is probably going to be (estimation based on Rust and Ark), made me think, we don't really have any all out combat/battles in Fallout 4. Sure there are some fights, but they have nowhere near the feeling of the Battle for Hoover Dam, or Broken Steel, or Operation Anchorage. Would it be possible for someone proficient with creating maps to make a (relatively) large battlefield on which 2 factions (US and China, maybe add some custom factions for the lolz) where you can choose to join one and proceed to go Rambo on the other. While randomly fired (and faction neutral, because neither side cared about its troops) artillery rains down? If this already exists please tell me.
  17. In Fallout NV i had a cool little mod that as far as i can remember did nothing, but move a pistol style weapon down and to the center of the screen when you fired from the hip. Basically you were looking down the center of the weapon when firing rather than the awkward side view Fallout 4 went with, if you were actually firing a pistol you would hold it with both hands out away from you, not one handed off to the side even if you weren't looking directly down the sites. Has this mod been replicated in Fallout 4? If not, can someone do it?
  18. I found this on a follower mod in the user screenshots, anyone know where i can find this armor? https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/110/images/90801/90801-1524085092-112754305.png
  19. I found this armor in a user image of a follower mod, but couldn't find the armor, anyone have it and know what it's called? https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/110/images/90801/90801-1524085092-112754305.png
  20. Fallout 4 has pipe weapons but they're a but lacking, requiring actual ammunition and actually functioning as worse versions of any other weapon. These are supposed to be the improvised tools of people creative enough to use pipe clamps and bolts to build a semi-serviceable automatic weapon that fires modern ammo. Does Bethesda expect us to believe that someone wouldn't just mix a bunch of fertilizer, a lead ball, and a thick walled pipe? AKA go back to the Old Revolutionary war era tech? But considering the skills they demonstrate at least give them credit for Civil War era weapons, like the Sharps rifle. ( ) The biggest counter point would be that primitive weapons have lower muzzle velocities, and are therefor weaker. HOWEVER they knew that back then and that's why the basic infantry weapon from those times could be between .60 and .75 caliber, sizes that would break your arm if fired with similar powder loads today. SO, Could someone creative make a single shot, lever action, breach loaded rifle with similar or slightly higher damage to a hunting rifle that uses ammo made at a Chemistry station that is in the .60 to .75 caliber range? Said rifle would have to be in the Pipe family and not be compatible with any silencers, with possible shotgun ammo variants (idk if an alternative receiver would make that easier, my only alternative ammo experience is from FNV).
  21. In WW2 the Sten Mk2 was the British's government's solution to running out of better guns, it was made simple and cheap. But oddly is was so easy to modify that it could hold magazines, sights, grips, and stocks from other guns, even shoot different caliber rounds if needed. See where this is going? The thing was basically the worse, but more easily modified British cousin of the SMGs already in the vanilla game. Obviously you cant include it's biggest flaws (constant jamming, or randomly unloading its own mag on full auto regardless of trigger pull) because this game has no weapon condition. Otherwise it was excellent at close range and fairly accurate when fired in single shots or short bursts. If there is already a version of this please let me know.
  22. I have no idea what happened or if i just missed an update or something, but I cant get body meshes to work. Every time I try to add new Bodyslide says it worked, but in game its just the vanilla body, even for playable ghoul mods it just uses the ghoul face on a default human body (even female ghouls and "setrace. ghoul" use vanilla human female body). The arms get all messed up too, like the human arm texture got halfway overwritten by the ghoul arm texture but with fingernails on the wrists and other screwed up parts.
  23. Fallout New Vegas had a mod for it that added several weapons, explosive HMGs, a minigun that shot 4 bullets at once at a much higher rate than the vanilla, and an artillery cannon ripped right out of a tank. This was called the Meize by the author who gave open permission to use his stuff. There was a mod pack that included a cannon like the Meize but the owner was banned for theft, taking the mod down. I haven't been able to find the mod in a version containing the Meize off the Nexus, so I was wondering if anyone else had made a new mod pack with large scale artillery style cannons that won't look like toys when used in power armor? Because the majority of vanilla guns look like toys when using power armor, and the majority of mod weapons I have found have been for conventional play style builds (non-power armor, because for some reason people don't like the idea of a walking tank that needs fuel). I'm asking because I like BFGs, and think it's unlikely that shoulder fired rockets would function 200 years later, or that a military like the old USA would abandon mid-range artillery cannons when they had power armor suits that could fling them around like standard issue rifles.
  24. Seeing Logan and its ending made me think about playing as Laura in Fallout (most of the movie could pass as Fallout if made a LOT less serious), I know there are some play as kids mods out but they seem to have been largely abandoned and haven't updated in a long time. Is there a set of mods, like a modified brass knuckles for wolverine/x23 claws, boots with claws for her feet ones that maybe add movement perks, as well as an up to date play as kids mod that isn't creepy as all living hell and illegal everywhere but Japan?
