  1. Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a try.
  2. I tried, but I don't really have the eye/hand for it. I wound up making a solid black weirdness that just didn't play the part.
  3. Hi there. I'm looking to build a town in Skyrim, and would like to have a unique uniform for my town guards. I like the theme of the guards of Skyrim, in that they are all the same faceless stooges, but are easily identifiable. I'm looking for someone who could/would be so kind as to recolour the tunic of a Haafingar guard armour and the rag dangling from the back of the helmet to be black. My apologies if this already exists, but searches always bring back "Blackguard Armour".
  4. There are Custom Homes out there with that mechanic, though i couldn't name them. I just know that I've encountered them before, so it IS do-able.
  5. I was wondering if anyone who knew how to create followers could make Rukia Kuchiki from Bleach as a follower. Height 144 cm (4'8½")[ All I really need is the height, face and hair roughly met, with a standard female voice. Everything else I can sort out in game (Armour, weaponry, etc.) Thanks in advance.
  6. Is there anyway that I could play for both sides in the Dawnguard DLC? I don't want to lose favour with either faction. I had the same issue with the Civil War (So far choosing to abstain), and downloaded a mod to get me through the Parthurnax issue. As much as I want to try the Dawnguard DLC, I simply can't bring myself to when I know that it'll just lead to me getting stuck at the choosing. I know it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, a vampire lord being friendly with the vampire slayers or vice versa, but both sides are very interesting, and I'd like to keep my options open for later role-playing. (I do separate branches of RP with a main character rather than dedicated RP with separate characters.)
  7. I was wondering if anyone knew of/would make a mod that allows me a follower bard? Someone who will sing me songs on my travels, or even just sit in a Mod house and behave like a normal bard.
  8. Could anyone make me a Black variant of the Hold Guards Armour? Preferably the Armoured one as opposed to the padded one that some Holds have.
  9. This is more a question than a request, though if someone does want to make it, I'll be among the first to download. My question is, would it be possible to make a mod that allows you to actually create a child, as opposed to adopt one? I'd think you'd approach your husband/wife and choose the new option "I think we should have a baby." Then a child is added to the family with qualities of the parents, such as Hair/Eye colour, Vampirism, race. If any two qualities didn't match (e.g. father has blonde hair, mother has brown), then there would be a 50/50 chance of either happening. You'd then name the child, and they'd behave like any other family child.
  10. I have asked for this before, but many months ago, so I figure I'm safe to ask again. I was wondering if someone could make a mod that adds some necklaces to Skyrim with enchantments, based off of the Talismans from the early 00's cartoon, Jackie Chan adventures. Rat Talisman: Summon a random Atronach (can only have one at a time) Ox Talisman: Fortify Carry Weight by 100 and unarmed by 100 Tiger Talisman: Gives the power to summon a copy of the player. The catch is, it is completely hostile, meaning it will target anyone nearby, even the player. Rabbit Talisman: Increase the players movement speed by 2x. Dragon Talisman: Reduce time between shouts by 80% and increase the strength of Fire and Frost breath. Snake Talisman: Togglable invisibility and Muffle. Horse Talisman: Increase Health Regen by 200% Sheep Talisman: Toggle the effects of the Etheral Shout Monkey Talisman: Allow the player to turn targets into animals. Rooster Talisman: Flight (If possible), nullify fall damage, and free Telekinesis. Dog Talisman: User cannot die except by OHKO such as a dragon swallowing you. Pig Talisman: Toggle Detect Life, Toggle Night Vision, and laser vision (if possible) I understand that some of these enchantments, such as flight and laser vision, may be difficult to implement, so I will be grateful to get what I can. I should stress that the abilities of the Talismans are free (No Magicka/Stamina cost) but can only be used so long as you wear the Talisman, which is why you can only wear one at a time to stop being too OP (Even though they are pretty OP on their own). Thank you for taking the time to read my request.
  11. Are there any mods that prevent major consequences of taking a hold during the civil war questline? E.g. guards remain guards instead of turning into the occupying armies soldiers, the damage to the cities is nullified, the Over thrown jarls are thrown in a cell rather than swept into a basement refugee camp.
  12. I managed to find a combination of mods that allow me to customise the area more to my own liking. Helgen Cleared : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24720/? & Tundra Defence : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22330/? While it does include some unwanted NPCs, they aren't entirely intolerable. It also allows me to cause dragon attacks, letting my dragonslayers practice.
  13. for some reason my image didnt upload.
  14. I download A New Guild for Skyrim, which allows me to recruit 10 random people from around Skyrim and create a guild with them as members, who will live in a base I select. However, there are not many good choices for bases for 10 people. Then I remembered that Helgen is sitting there doing nothing. My request is that someone will mod Helgen with the following details: Remove the bandits and evidence of their occupation. Remove evidence of the Dragon Attack. (Repair the buildings) Turn the ground floor of the fort into a nice player home including double bed, chest, wardrobes, bookshelves, alch/ench stations, all that jazz. Put a full Blacksmith section in the blue area (Forge, grindstone, tanning rack, smelter, workbench) training dummies in the red area. Put a generic inn in the INN turn the interiors of the 5 Houses (H) into 2-person shared living quarters. I know much of this is vague, but that's because I'm leaving most of this to creative licence. I don't particularly mind about the finer details.
  15. I see Many battles, Ulfric Stormcloak being killed and Tulius not being mentioned because the was is viewed as Ulfric vs The Empire, not Tulius. Ulfric manages to take and lose many cities throughout the war, but is ultimately killed. With the Emperor Assassinated by the Dark Brotherhood, the Empire struggled to maintain control of Skyrim vs the Faithful Stormcloaks. Skyrim secures it's independence diplomatically as the Empire doesn't want to have to watch it's Northern Border so heavily.
  16. I downloaded Skyrim School of Witchcraft and Wizardry last night because, let's be honest, the College is a bit lackluster considering. However the mod was incomplete and seems to have been deserted. Also, despite the concept being excellent, I found the execution to be a little underwhelming. So I am proposing a fresh-start, using what SSWW showed could make a good school. At level 11, you receive a letter by courier that invites you to a magic school (Name undecided as yet). You can sail there from any of the ports, and this will take you to a new cell, giving more freedom for level design. The Main School Building: There should of course be the Main Hall, with the teachers table and the 4 house tables for students. This is also the place where a quest to sort you into your house should trigger, with you sitting on a seat and a new level loading, like the Sheogorath quest. The quest will involve you exploring your own mind, and coming out with a key to one of the House Dorms, and a set of robes to suit. There should be friendly ghosts wandering the halls, the lack of which I found disappointing with SSWW. If/When voice acting becomes a thing, they can perhaps be comic relief, like guards idle banter. Classroom will contain Professors of the Arts who will sell you both spells and training. They should wear Black Magic Hats to stand out. Some references to the books, such as a locked door on the Third Floor Corridor, which when picked grants the player a modded Ruby, a secret warp in a girls bathroom to a ratway area containing a powerful sword, etc. Houses: The same concept as SSWW here, with the colours Red, Yellow, Blue and Green representing the houses, and an animal to match. The houses would get the standard black robes, but with the house shield on the chest to match. In an attempt to keep Neutrality, the Green house mustn't be brought across as the bad guys, and Red shouldn't be considered the good guys. The Forbbiden Forest should also make a feature, with large powerful spiders, trolls, dragons, etc living within. I imagine that, if the basic construction of the map and NPCs was complete, voice actors would take an interest and a very serious mod could emerge from it.
  17. I enjoy playing the Civil War Questline, but I've only done it once in 200 hours of play because I hate most of the consequences. Jarls getting changed over, I'm good with. Whiterun being ruined, I am not. Guards being traded for Stormcloak or Imperial Soldiers, I am not either. I liked the fact that Skyrim is a country held together by mini-countries (holds). With soldiers of one faction everywhere, it feels more like a single place, which is less cool. Are there any mods that reduce the consequences of the Civil War?
  18. They may hate you but who cares what they think, you can fly :D I'll fiddle in the Creation Kit but I don't expect anything particularly great to come out of it. Until then, I'd still like to try and get the attention of a Jackie Chan Fan Modder, just in case ;) And of course, anyone who might actually download this mod. I know I would.
  19. I'll begin by declaring I have no modding skills and this is more of an interest poll than anything. I was talking to a friend the other night while playing Modded Skyrim, and the subject of Jackie Chan Adventures came up. We came up with the 12 Talismans all being an amulet with a particular ability, and they were stored on a tougher than average animal of that type. (Some were trickier than others.) Rat - Motion to the Motionless = Skeever - Summon Atronach Ox - Super Strength = Cow- Incredibly hard punches and very high carry Weight Tiger - Balance, but the Split Personality effect is better = Saber Cat - Spawn duplicate mob that is hostile to the target. Rabbit - Speed = Rabbit - No Recharge Whirlwind Sprint. Dragon - Fire Breath = No Recharge Fire Breath Snake - Invisibility = Argonian - Toggle Invisibility Horse - Healing = Horse Massive Health Regen Sheep - Astral Projection = Toggle Become Etheral Monkey - Shapeshifting = Nord - Make target become random animal. Rooster - Flight = Chicken = Thought of toggle collisions, but that would get messy, so rather place them on a silent invisible dragon circa Dragonborn DLC. Dog - Immortal = Dog - Cannot be killed, but can be "downed", meaning your health will still drop. This allows Dragons to still eat you Pig - Laser Vision = Orc - Endless, Stronger, Flames and toggle detect life (Because the talisman also gifts you thermal vision to counter the snakes invisbility) Then we thought what if the Talisman Keeper were to somehow incorporate their talismans powers into the means of gaining it, that would also be cool. Rat - Summons multiple powerful atronachs to fight you while the Skeever away through the ratways behind the ragged flagon. Ox - Basically instant death if the Cow can reach you. Tiger - Having to fight another Dovahkiin whle fighting a Powerful Saber Cat Rabbit - If it sees you, the Rabbit runs away... WITH LIMITLESS WHIRLWIND SPRINTS! Sneakiness pays off here. Dragon - Surprisingly the least interesting, a high power Dragon. In Skyrim. Woo. Snake - A skittish Argonian bandit that will turn invisible and stay that way if he sees you, letting his henchmen distract you. Horse - Difficult to kill a Horse that regens massive health. Sheep - The Goat turns Ethereal and flees if you approach it. Another one for sneakiness. Monkey - A Nord Bandit that turns his Bandit Buddies into Bears to defend him. Rooster - Another skittish guardian, the Chicken will fly away if it sees you. Dog - The Dog cannot be killed, so a method of befriending him, and him giving you the Talisman would make for a change here. Pig - An Orc Bandit that can cast Stronger Flames, endlessly. I seriously lack any kind of modding skills other than being the ideas man, the dreamer. Would anyone else be interested in something like this, maybe we can reach out to a talented mod maker?
  20. Hello. I have found a potentially game breaking bug. I have googled for fixes to teh bug, but since this quest seems to be riddled with bugs, I have had no joy in finding any results, and hoped someone here might be able to help. During the quest, you have to find 4 enchanted artifacts for a lecturer at the College of Winterhold. But really, you only need one, the Saarthal AMulet. When you pck it up, a trap activates, you blow open the wall and you go deeper into the underground city. Or atleast that is what s supposed to happen. When I pick up the amulet, teh game behaves as if I have picked up any old necklace, and the quest doesn't recognise it as it's cue to start the rest of teh quest. I have reloaded and older save, used console commands to skip that bit, tcl'd to float through the wall that can nonly be destroyed after the tap triggers only to remember that you need the lecturer to come with you to beat the boss. Nothing has worked, and I'm out of ideas and getting annoyed. Anyone help please?
  21. What are your favourite useful, but small player homes? By small I mean you don't have to walk through more than 1 loading screen from the Entrance Area to get somewhere(but it can have 3-4 different cells, so long as they are focused on the entrance area), and by useful I mean it has to have every type of crafting station, and plenty of storage for different groups of items (Alchemy Ingredients, Forging materials, Soul Gems, etc.).
  22. Notice, doesn't HAVE to be lore friendly. By that do you mean you would accept something that looked Skyrimy, but also looks like RoboCop? Like Bioware did with the Blood Dragon Armour for Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age? That would interest me. Sorry, I'm just into lore-friendly. I imagine two versions of the armour would be good though, 100% accurate and a Knightly Remake. I hope this goes through, good luck.
  23. Hello modding community. Last night I downloaded three mods that expand the hearthfire player homes of Lakeview, Heljarchen and Winstad into towns/forts. Each mod brings guards to the local area, but they don't feel like the SKyrim Guards we all know and love. Could anyone take the Whiterun Armour (it specifically because it is plated, not padded), and change the colouring of it's garb from Yellow to Black, and a guard shield that is black with a dragon stencil on it, however not the Imperial Dragon because some users may side with the Stormcloaks and this would break the immersion a bit. Thank you to anyone who would do this.
  24. ALL the summons could potentially be possible (Though choosing their form would need some kind of collaboration), it just depends on what the modder, assuming we get one, can and/or will do.
  25. Yeah. the more time and effort the modder is prepared to put in, the more summons we can hope to see in game. I would particularly like to see Atmos implemented, probably taking from the singularity mod to drag enemies towards it, inflicting damage, or insta-killing at the cost of being a Once Per Day thing. The model might be tricky however, even though Atmos is more or less a static object. I am prepared to help with the mod, but I am completely inexperienced in making mods, and no idea how to model, so a somewhat experienced modder and modeller will be needed for this to take off.
