Originally no, I didnt realise that a few of them were actually downloaded from the old Skyrim nexus but i switched them up last night. The game seems to be working okay now apart from the random "lock up" i experienced after playing for around 30 mins? it forced me to completely restard my laptop. it's kinda annoying as i plan on adding more mods the further I progress in to the game :(

Never mind, the game just locked up after 30 mins of play. I officially give up with trying to fix this game.

UPDATE - Okay so I stayed up all night trying to sort this out. I ended up running the game with the following mods: Caliente's beautiful bodies enhancer Unofficial skyrim SE patch Alternative Start Ethereal Elven Overhaul (Plus SSE patch) SkyUI The Eyes Of Beauty Pure Waters RaceMenu and managed to play the game for just over 2 hours with no crash. I made sure to fast travel between a lot of cities towards the 1 hour and half mark to see if it would make the game crash but it didn't. So hopefully it was just a mod clash however I did find that the the texture pack I was using was downloaded of the old Skyrim nexus and not the SE edition along with the Caliente's beautiful bodies which was hopefully what waas causing the issue. I'm going to try the new 2k texture pack for the SE version and see how my game runs and just download one mod at a time like I was suggested to do :)| However i still don't know why SSEdit wasn't properly cleaning any of my DLC and still havent found a solution to that :/ But again thank you all for your help!

Played the game for around a hour and half and then it crashed as I was about to Fus Ro Dah a whiterun guard. Okay, so let me make sure here: When you started the game - was restart w/out any mods, or did you just disable the mods and play? I assumed they there completely uninstalled as I reinstalled the game about a hour ago but I just checked vortex and it's appearing their just disabled. Should I remove them all from my vortex and try again?

If this is the fix ^^ it could be racemenu causing the crash as it's a mod i use and I was also installing the one for normal skyrim instead of the SSE edition.

Okay so this may be absolutely no help what so ever but I had the same issue and it turned out it was because I was installing mods for Skyrim instead of the Skyrim Special Edition. For example a mod I use was "Alterative start - live another life" and it was crashing my game literally the exact same way you explained and after looking around it's because i'd downloaded the mod of the Skyrim Nexus instead of the SSE Nexus. Again this may not be the fix as I'm a complete noob and just got back in to the game after not playing for years.

So I recently decided to get back in to Skyrim, as it was my 18th birthday a few days ago i decided to buy a new gaming laptop so that i could get the game and be able to mod it. I stopped modding when i was around 13-14 so I practically forgot EVERYTHING about modding especially with the new "Vortex" and Special eddition, along with the new SSEdit. I've spent the last few days just trying to clean the game up, installing mods, watching endless tutorials etc and nothing seems to be fixing my issue which is that after about a hour or so of gameplay the game just crashes to desktop. I don'y know if it's my computer specs or if it's the mods not properly working but I was really hoping someone could help me out. My computer is the MSI GL65 Leopard 10SER-011UK, FHD, IPS, 120Hz, i7 10750H, 8GB DDR4, 512GB NVMe, 6GB RTX 2060, Win10 Home which my brother recommended and with the game being so old I assume this would easily be able to run it with mods? especially since my old computer from around 5 years ago never had this issue. I'd also like to note that when running SSEdit to clean the DLC a large amount of the files don't clean properly. I understand this is normal for the dawnguard DLC and that there's tutorials on how to fix this however my SSEdit is showing way more problems than what the tutorials are showing how to fix. For example Magic Effect Perk Quest Race etc This is after running the quick auto clean. I don't want remove them incase it messes my game up? I also don't know if the above is even the reason for the game crashing I've just heard that the games "dirty files" are usually the cause for this.
