  1. Installed 0.56.1. Downloaded a number of mods. Activated them all and launched; got compiling errors. Deactivated all and activated one at a time. Results: all graphics and visuals were no problem. The following would not compile: Door unlocker Ranged combat Alchemical refill Darker cat E32014 Camera Fast travel from anywhere Hold to walk Main map zoom No witcher sense Remove weight limit Buffs repositioned Tabs collapsed by default World map unlimited zoom Any help available? Updated to latest. Thanks
  2. A year ago, I felt like an absolutely clueless dork, even with a solid technical and scientific background. Read more here than I had all through school, and it all eventually came together. Again, I have no clue why or how--just the culmination of trial and error and refusing to yield to something that costs less than 50 bucks. :ermm:
  3. It has been a year since I started playing Skyrim. I also discovered the Nexus about the same time. Like most noobs, I had the whole pantheon of errors, hiccups, glitches, crashes and teeth-gnashing. As of the present, I am playing the game for hours on end, day after day, with no CTDs, no stutter, no Z-fighting, no ILS, no freezing, no nothing. I have installed, uninstalled, tweaked, wrenched, torqued and wrestled with it over the last year. How I got here I do not know. I am a technical moron when it comes to programming and the whys of computers, but I can read and understand and follow directions. Most of the help I have gotten has come from the folks on this site, and otherwise from links found herein. I do not have the expertise to assess my setup as to the why of its working so well, but since we are able to share load order lists, mod lists, ini contents, etc., I hereby offer to upload for anyone who wants it, any of the parts of the setup or all of them if they think they could benefit therefrom. Instead of deluging the forum with all that information in this post, I offer to respond to any requests posted for any information I can provide. Just a little info: AMD A10 quadcore with 12Gb RAM nVidia 780 GTX 3Gb Intel 240Gb SSD 2 T HDD Use Mod Organizer, of course, as I play different profiles Use ICBINE for its light load on the system Use 2 save cleaning tools, which scrape a load of crap out of save games Have a shirtload of mods installed, including heavy-duty resource hogs (Inferno: Envoys of End, etc.) Let me know if I can help. P.S. I stand in dumbfounded awe of the abilities of the mod authors on this site. They have made a pedestrian game into a never-ending delight. Remember to endorse religiously.
  4. Yeah, I'm going to stick with 5. The experiment was just that. Happy at 50-60 fps with 220 mods and a great enb.
  5. Step build plus fun mods; worked hard at all the advice and got a stable, beautiful environment. Using Megatherium Fantasy ENB on a 12 gig HP AMD, SSHD; GTX 780 3gig. Have no CTDs for the last 15 hours of play. Only problem was some dips into single digits after extended play, cured by saving mygame 1 and cleaning out all the RefIDs. Question: with this stable a build, I wanted to experiment with higher ugrids. Both 7 and nine were fine, but settled on 7 due to script firing concerns. That was ok until the water in Morthal started flickering and shimmering big time. Dropped back to ugrids 5 and it is as beautiful as ever. Is there a setting I need to adjust at ugrids 7 somewhere else in the .ini? If not, I will stay at 5, because this is what I have and worked so hard for: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1999359-sky-high/ Thanks in advance for any input.
  6. Finally got a stable build and am running at 59-60, everything fine except for the following: Using ENB 251 and the only problem I see is the appearance of dots such as you would see if you magnified a newspaper photo. Mostly on faces but also other areas. Mostly in low/indirect light situations. Any enblocal.ini recommendations?HialgoBoost on trashes my FPS and makes a side-to-side scan look like a slow slide show. I just turn it off. Why boost if it is running stable at 60?I am hesitant to make any radical changes since it is currently so stable and fast, but would like to be able to improve the visual quality by getting rid of the dots. Postscript: Flying in the Dev, some of the areas on the ground have very apparent demarked squares or grids. Any suggestions? I thank my savior in advance, and pray that the stability remains, well, stable. :ermm:
  7. I'll try that. One question: the data folder in the Skyrim directory, or is there a virtual data folder for MO?
  8. Question comes from not finding any consensus on this subject. Lord help me, I do not want to mix virtualized and real content in my MO setup. What is a fellow to do? Not only am I unable to do the above, I cannot even delete a double post.

  10. ^^^^^^^^^ This is what I needed. Thanks.
  11. Do love beating a dead horse! :woot: Re-restating: With a bunch of mods and a goodly amount of textures, I should expect such fluctuations as a normal part of the game, correct?
  12. Restating: Should the game always run at 60 FPS regardless of where you are, what you are doing, or the number of NPCs and creatures around you static or moving?
  13. Just a question which will reveal my ignorance of certain processes: During the game, inside buildings and outside sitting on my horse, 55-60 FPS. Movement through varied landscapes and areas brings 35-55 or so FPS. Is this normal? I assume it is never 60FPS at all times. Thanks.
  14. Dropped the AA to 2 from 8, aniostropic to 4 from 16 and jumped to 40-60. All the time after this last vanilla install, I have crash/frozen upon exiting to the desktop. Exited to the main menu, then the desktop, crash/freeze. Would Performance Monitor have anything to do with that? Edit: yep, it sure does; ran it without SPMonitor and it closed normally.
  15. Here is my performance after verifying, refreshing and all else. From Helgen cave to Riverwood Trader. GPU was almost always at 98-99. At the signpost: ram 1211 vram 1172 cpu 24% gpu 99% Threads 30 fps 22 Not acceptable.
