  1. I've only found three, one is a year old, and the second one has to be downloaded from the author's website if you don't want to use Steam- it's not on Nexus. The third is on Nexus, and is rather recent: it makes corpses solid (collision detection) and includes a spell to 'cremate' bodies. 1) Altbert's 'Dispose of Corpses [WIP]' mod. Here's the link from his website to download it directly from. Rev. 3 as of 2/3/2013. (File size: .038 MB, attached since it was rather hard to find outside of the SCW) Works through a custom spell. 2) Koor's 'Skyrim Cremation' mod. Ver. 1.0 as of 2/9/2012. (File size: 2 kb) Works through a custom spell. 3) LargeStyle's 'Dead Body Collision Fix' Ver 2.4 as of 2/19/2013 (File size: 3 kb). Cremation works through custom spell. Hopefully this may prove helpful to anyone else happening to be looking for the same thing.
  2. I basically had to start a new game. I was missing huge chunks of land from around Whiterun after unwisely choosing to clean my save game file- the problem persisted with my backup!
  3. I used the load-game, alt+tab out, change uGridstoLoad in Skyrim.ini, save file, alt+tab in, use console command 'refreshini' at new settings at the suggestion that was what causing the instability. I still crashed running around between Silent Moons Camp & Halted Stream. There was also a problem NPC, a bandit leader at SMC, who when I was either attacked by it or attacking (on hit), would create a CTD-- I circumvented that by quickly using the console to kill and disable that mob.
  4. I hope so, and thank you for your suggestions. The bit about turning off Papyrus logging - does that have a performance impact? I didn't think about it, but if it's creating, literally, thousands of pages of text in the background, I would imagine it does, hmm. I'll tweak down my AA settings from 8X to 4X, the difference shouldn't be really noticeable. Would that fSkyCellRefFadeDistance really have much of an impact either? GeForce Tweak Guide says: Same query for FOV? I actually can't move the monitor much farther back from where I sit, but I'll try lowering it by 10 or so. Also, do you know of this guide? Skyrim Tweak Guide 2.2 Can you recommend it, if you're familiar with it? EDIT: I just noticed "fDefaultFOX=92" under my Skyrim.ini..no idea how it got like that but I'll assume the 'X' should be 'V' and correc that. Would be weird if a spelling error was causing the mistake XD FURTHER EDIT: The crash might be linked to a missing something still referenced but not longer there, especially since it seems tied to one old character, but not a new one. (from this forum's stickied thread)
  5. As an update (for anyone else on the forums perusing this or similar problems), I loaded a save from a character for which a new-game was started after all of my latest major mods were installed. I used that character to run around the problem-area giving me the crashes. No screen freezes. I loaded my main from an interior, and seemed to be able to run about the same area without issue. I have no idea whether I'm perceiving this as a fix or work-around or what-have-you, or if it actually had an impact. But I did not experience the same immediate crashes. So far... EDIT: After cleaning each and every one of my Boss-loaded mods w/ TES5Edit in the proper order I still experience the screen-freeze running around between Whiterun and Halted-Streams Camp / Silent Moons Camp. Hmf :ermm: BOSS Log: Specs: And here is the last page-and-a-half of my Papyrus log: And here is my SkyrimPrefs.ini file: And Skyrim.ini file: Additionally, I did update my NVIDIA drivers from 314.07 to 314.22. No changes were made to my SkyrimPrefs.ini file or Skyrim.ini file. (I never ended up using console commands to lower my uGridstoLoad setting b/c it does not seem to be the source of any instability).
  6. You can also try this mod. The guy has like dozens of variations for every kind of skeleton/sheath/weapon-load-out... Custom Skeleton Replacers by Skulltyrant
  7. No idea but use console to fix player.getav speedmult player.setav speedmult <# you want, prob 100>
  8. I'm basically having the same issue. On path w/ river on the left down from Helgen towards Riverwood, and also north in the plains (w/ really large horizons/vista) north of Whiterun...let me know if you have any progress. We're both using SkyRe, CoT, Frostfall...
  9. After running around some-more I also noticed another problem area: north of Whiterun (between WR and Halted Streams Camp, for reference). Not sure if having uGridstoload=7 is too much for the PC to handle in this area, given the wide, large vistas. Also have Floral Overhaul and WATER. Tried disabling both, no joy. Will also try reverting to uGridstolad=5 w/ console commands in game, then saving ini later to match. I feel like the problem happens near water, but honestly have no clue why. Any further suggestions?
  10. Thanks once again for your helpful reply, GG: I used Boss and noted that it made some load-order changes. I'm not quite ready to use TES5edit, but the changes BOSS made seemed to have improved my stability somewhat. I'll keep playing and return to this thread if necessary with any further observations. Thanks again!
  11. Thanks for replying, Georgiegril! I have tried removing Minty's mod (and it's attendant co-compatibility mod for Climates of Tamriel), but that did not seem to help. I'm still a novice when it comes to mod-management, I haven't learned yet to use anything more advanced than NMM and some .jar patchers (like ReProccer for SkyRe)> I'll look into using BOSS (and Wyre) if this problem persists and proves un-surmountable. Thanks again : )
  12. Good morning, Forums and fellow Dovakiin: Would anyone be able to parse my papyrus log? The last page and a half are pasted below. I keep crashing on the approach to and from Riverwood (right by the, well, River), just as you get attacked by the two wolves in what is probably the first post-Helgen combat. Everywhere else I can run around just fine, it seems. Thank you all for any assistance you are able to provide. Most Gratefully, Dhraiden
  13. See this post by Chesko, the author of the Frostfall mod, in this thread. He's aware of the glitch (since 3/19) and is working on it, he says. Work-arounds: save and reload, or use showracemenu command for console. I haven't been able to get this last one to work, but apparently sleeping in an owned bed or Inn may also reset it. Also an issue being reported in Madmole's See you Sleep mod thread, first reported around 3/23. Some speculation it might be related to head-tracking mod (I also use this).
