  1. I don't know about them getting that much in donations, but while I do agree with the idea of donating to the smaller modders, I just checked some of the smaller mods in my loadout that are some of my favourites despite their small scale, Digitigrade Khajiit, Dwarven Rifles, Deadly Serious Shrouded Armour, even Moonpath to Elsweyr which is one of the larger mods I use, but they all lack donation options. Did give some long overdue endorsements while I was at each page, though. That's a good point, need to endorse too and say a little thank-you on their posts page.
  2. Anyone running Seasons of Skyrim True HDR in 4K? Wondering how it performs but also how it looks, any pics? Some day I'll dive into 4K... might not leave my house for a month after but I'll do it.
  3. My plan is to donate to every Nexus mod in my load order, big and small. They all in concert make my game just how I want it.
  4. That's what I'm taking away as a positive from all this Workshop mess, a renewed appreciation for what you and other modders do and give to the rest of us. Thank you very much for your time and your work.
  5. You should get on-board the donations challenge. I am going to donate, others already have or said they will as well, so it most certainly is going to change.
  6. Cool, very glad to see some traction on this idea. I really hope I can donate to Chesko, one of the very first mods I ever downloaded was wearable lanterns... lit my way through many dark places as it were. Then Frostfall, I mean how awesome is that for us immersion buffs? So yeah, really want to donate to him. Do you think it's better to wait and give more time, account for pay days, etc.? I think it's great people are willing to do this so maybe if we give more time, say do the 16th-17th weekend of May, we can get the word out and have an even bigger splash? Just a thought. Cheers!
  7. I think it's very easy to hate, not so easy to see someone else's position. I honestly don't know what I'd think if Bethesda and Valve contacted me about a mod I had written, certainly flattered. The problem with the gaming community is there is a very young element to it, and young is rarely synonymous with wisdom, hence all the vitriol, name calling, and in the case of Chesko actual threats against him. Childish but cooler heads will prevail. It's a stand-up thing to publicly admit your mistakes and take ownership of them. Good luck in the future.
  8. That's excellent. I'm sure people have been donating here and there more than usual since this started. Silver lining I guess.
  9. Hi Nexus Users, So now that it looks like we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel I wanted to see if we can't mend some fences and even if it is just a gesture, give something truly heartfelt back to our modders. I'd like to see if the community would like to set up a "Modders Appreciation Day", perhaps this Saturday or one upcoming, where we, as a community, have a donations blitz and rally behind our modders here on the Nexus, show them just how much we really do appreciate the work they do! If you've never donated, this would be the time. I have over 200 mods in my collection, I will happily go around to each modder and donate what I can. Obviously I won't be able to do every mod on one day but if we all pick a couple mods we can't play Skyrim without and donate a few bucks to those authors... it would be a great gesture. For myself, I'd rather spend hundreds on the community over the next while than on anything at Steam currently. I played vanilla through once, if it wasn't for the mods you people make I wouldn't have the (well over) a thousand hours playing Skyrim that I do. So who's up for it? I'm publicly pledging to donate and I'm hoping others will too. You people make this game worth playing and I want to say more than just thank-you in a forum post. I figure a community showing you how we feel is even better. Cheers!
