  1. Here's a new one on me. Made a detour to the Deep Roads with Cassandra, Sera and Dorian and after disposing of the ogre started the brief introductory battle to help the dwarves establish the base camp. My mages automatically set barriers on everyone, my mage inquisitioner set up a Static cage around the hurlocks, I put Sera in Stealth and made her drink a potion of lightening and then sent her into the crowd with a thousand cuts..... From then on the barriers on everyone became permanent, and cooldown times became zero all round ! I swapped characters, went to different locations but the barriers stayed up all the time on everyone and cooldown stayed at zero. After quickly polishing off the Greater Mistral in the Emerald Graves and Vinsomer on the Storm Coast I decided to stop aout an hour later. The next day I reloaded and everything was back to normal. Anyone seen this before? PS - absolutely vanilla game sitting on the same machine since the game came out - no mods whatsoever
  2. I've managed at level 5 against a level 12 dragon on many occasions - but only by keeping at a distance that activates the red border around the dragon and then spamming it with either spells of arrows - use one character only and place the others on hold, then wait 10 minutes until it dies. The drops ar usually good interms of weapons, armour, crafting materials...... and of course XP
  3. In the early stages try kiting your opponents from a distance so you can take them out individually and build up XP and skills. Do this also whenencountering larg parties otherwise you be overwhelmed very quicklyPlace Barriers on everyone before going into battle, renew them regularlytake out the archers quickly particularly in Jaws of Hakkon - they can one-shot a weakly armoured party memberUse Rock Armour potionsMake sure you have the best armour and highest damage weapons possibleI find static cage helpful inthese DLCs so you can crowd manage groupsHave plenty of heal and healing mist potionsDon't forget to dispell any barriers on enemiesPlace your mages behoind physical obstacles and use spells that do not need line of sightMake sure each of your characters has an escape skill like fade step or leaping shotPause often and make use of tactical mode to better understand what's going on and reposition your teamDisrupt adversaries with swarm of bees, and get the strongest on YOUR side with confusion grenade (they canoften do more damage than you)Hope this gives you some ideas. At level 21 it's tough, particularly on nightmare, but entirely possible.
  4. Apart from Qwinns fixpack the only indespensablles I've really found are : - extra dog slot - I just like having Dog around permanently, but not to the point of limiting my tactics - larger action bar - I now have one that has about 30 slots over 3 tiers without taking up too much room - LAA patch - after 5-6 playthroughs, skip the fade is nice to have Others that I've had have now been included inQwinn's great opus
  5. I've always used the "clunky" solution of exiting the war room, resetting my system clock (+1 day), then returning to the war room.. Not forgetting to put the system clock back to the correct date.....
