  1. How do I not use the interior and dungeon modules of CoT? I can only select different presets during the installation process but not disable them altogether.
  2. Hi guys, I'm torn between: Enhanced Lights and FX Realistic Lighting Overhaul (RLO) Project Reality - Climates of Tamriel - Lighting -Weather I would like to try RLO, but I'm also intrigued by Climates of Tamriel. Basically I want the best lighting inside and outside. What would you recommend?
  3. I read on another forum that the bladesman perk is broken, calculating the damage only from the base value of a sword, not the improved one. The discussion there went on and on and no conclusive results came out. Now I'm confused and have several questions: 1. Do you get critical hits at all without the bladesman perk? 2. Does the bladesman perk take into account smithing and skill improvements? For example at 20 base damage, +10 extra due due smithing, will the 3rd tier of the bladesman perk (+50% crit damage) provide 30 (20*150%) or 45 (30*150%) damage? Finally, is it worth it? 20% probability and 50% extra damage means that on average one gets 10% damage increase. Not much for 3 invested points. Would you choose a mace or an axe instead? Thanks :)
  4. Hi guys, I've tried different texture packs (by themselves and combined) and sometimes there are intersections between textures that are hard and abrupt: http://www.abload.de/thumb/snowborders47rwp.jpg Shouldn't the textures blend into one another so that it is smooth? Most of the time it works, but sometimes it looks ugly. This can be observed with the vanilla textures as well, but not to the extent that is seen with high res mods. Especially roads seem to suffer from this problem. Is there a remedy?
  5. I think I found it. I identified it by the small green plant: rocksedgetrim01 under textures\landscape Don't know how I missed it. The original in the bsa file is 512x512, but when I looked in my data\textures folder, there is a higher res (2k) version in there instead. Still looks kind of low res and bad in game. Left is a section of the 2k texture loaded with GIMP, right is the same section (roughly) in the game: http://www.abload.de/thumb/textur_alts9kv6.png http://www.abload.de/thumb/textur_ingame0ij1c.png How would you proceed to improve it?
  6. But the texture mods install their files in the data\texture folder, right? I know where Skyrim searches first, this is why I looked in both, the bsa files and the texture folder.
  7. Hi guys, I'm completely new to this modding thing. I have installed many texture mods in Skyrim but some textures are still low res, for example this one. I marked a location where it can be found: http://www.abload.de/thumb/tesv2012-04-2618-24-0nvqo9.png http://www.abload.de/thumb/tesv2012-04-2619-37-32iqy7.png I would like to replace it, but I cannot find it. I looked at all the dds files in the bsa archives (vanilla and Bethesdas highres texture pack) and in the added textures from several mods in data\textures - to no avail. This texture is often found besides larger rocks (the grey high res pieces are actually from a texture pack). Could someone help me out, please?
