LE We need a proper, lore-friendly, enhanced SKYRIM-SEX-MOD :)
Dianadoesitbest replied to Jubeldibub's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
google skyrim adult mods. They exist and are crazy in depth (some are creepy), but these mods already exist. -
I don't think the current technology (as in Bethesda's Gambryo mark II the creation engine), its even possible to have valenwood. Afterall the Cities are valenwood are giant walking threes.

I'm not buying it because I have no desire to play it. Hearthfire is just horse armor.

I like the idea of visiting Orsinium, but given its distance from Skyrim, I don't think that it's likely. A return to Solstheim is possible, but I doubt that anyone at Beth wants to recreate a region they've already worked on. Orsinium is on the border of skyrim now...lots of things changed in two hundred years

If they're trying to target the PC crowd with their next DLC, then that explanation might make sense, but as it is, they cannot even find a way to optimize Dawnguard well enough to release it for PS3, let alone their next DLC. Exactly that had to focus for dawnguard to be released for the xbox, first, they also had to do it in a timely manner as part of their contract, not giving Beth enough time to actually make sure the game would be ready for release across all platforms. At least this way they can actually have time to provide something with real content without hte restraints.

I am thinking the Next DLC is going to be a larger more expansive DLC than Hearthfire. Hopefully in another province or even revisiting old ones. After all the lore is 200 years into a fourth Era. And a lot has happened to Tamriel both politically and Physically. Provinces that border our beloved home of the Nords, include hammerfell, Orsimum, Morrowind, and Cyrodil. Hammerfell I think would be nice to see, for one we have not seen it in a very long time. It is ripe for more confrontation with the Altmeri Dominion. We are even exposed to a bit of its culture in quests in Vanilla Skyrim, making as strong case for a little bit of an expansion. After the Oblivion Crisis, Hammerfell remained a part of the Empire during the Stormcrown Interregnum, which ended when Titus Mede seized the Imperial City and was proclaimed Emperor. During the Great War against the Thalmor-led Aldmeri Dominion, Hammerfell fought with the rest of the Empire, and was invaded by the Thalmor forces. When the war ended, Emperor Titus Mede II ceded a portion of southern Hammerfell to the Dominion and outlawed worship of Talos throughout the Empire. The Redguards, outraged, continued to defy the White-Gold Concordat, forcing Titus Mede II to release Hammerfell as its own, independent state. The Redguards eventually forced a stalemate with the Dominion, leading to Aldmeri forces withdrawing completely from Hammerfell. Morrowind would be another great province to return to. So much has happened with Morrowind. After the Oblivion Crisis, the Nords and Orcs launched attacks from the north.[2] Then, the disappearance of Vivec caused the Ministry of Truth to become unstable. Engineers in Morrowind, led by Vuhon, constructed a machine called the Ingenium, powered by living souls, to keep the ministry aloft. When one Dunmer named Ilzheven was chosen to power the machine, her lover Ezhmaar, also known as Sul destroyed the machine to save her life. The plan backfired, however, as the Ministry completed its fall, destroying Vivec City and causing Red Mountain to erupt, covering the rest of Vvardenfell in ash and lava in an event known as "The Red Year". An invasion by the Argonians of Black Marsh forced the remaining Dunmer to scatter all over Tamriel, most notably Solstheim, however many of the Dunmer are returning to their homeland to rebuild.[2] It feels like a great setting for a comprehensive expansion. even if it only covers part of the Province. Orsinium would be cool, The kingdom reformed, but has relocated; it is now in between Skyrim and Hammerfell.[1] There are Strongholds scattered everywhere, And the Kingdom itself is small enough that it would make for a cheap DLC. What would you like to see?

I'm not going to buy it. Yes, it's only $5 but its still $5. And I have no desire to download it based on what I have seen. $1.99 maybe I would consider it. But I firmly believe it was a business strategy for Bethesda. Having to perform updates for different platforms at different times because of their contract with Microsoft, actually costs them money and man hours. It also free's up their staff, to work on projects more efficiently. The Hearthfire DLC is actually a brilliant move. Not only does it give them a bit more revenue over a period of 2 months (the xbox and pc release dates.) But it will also enable to them to now release their next DLC across all platforms at the same time. Microsoft only had a contract for one month exclusivity for their first two DLC. I'm sure Bethesda has plans to release another more substantial DLC in the future, and it would be much easier having more staff on hand to work on it for all the platforms at the same time.

I have absolutely no intention of downloading hearthfire. Honestly. I think it was just a way for Bethesda to sneak around the their contract with Microsoft. Now any DLC they create will be released at the same time across platforms.

i've recently reinstalled my my game through steam. I have not been running ANY mods. I've been running a clean vanilla installation. Same problem. Unfortunately I think Bethesda may have screwed the pooch. I have never had this problem until the recent 1.7 update. I eventually run into the problem in either whiterun or windhelm. This isn't caused by mods. At all. The vanilla version is causing problems. My Drivers are pristine and up to date, I have even tried previous versions of my drivers and even beta versions. My system is almost exactly on par with the recommended settings; except I have 32 GB of RAM. This is an error by either BS, or Steam abd I an reakky upset about it.

Return to the Imperial City

Marieh, I made this thread mainly for discussion of the idea and how to implement it. I'm sorry if you feel that this is "spitballing" or me begging other people to do the work for me. Thats your opion and I respect it. But if you don't want to be a part of the project or get involved thats also your choice. I just came up with the idea three days ago. So obviously I have no proof of concept yet. And I don't feel I need one at this stage. And why should I start creating something without initial planning or advice/suggestions from more seasoned modders such as yourself? I am looking to initiate a community project, mostly because it would be fun. This is meant to be a collaborative community effort. Obviously people who want to volunteer are more than welcome to and encouraged.. So if you have any advice, suggestions, or links to modder resources you think would help things speed along that would be most appreciated. -
LE Bringing Final Fantasy to Skyrim
Dianadoesitbest replied to Icedgamer's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
There is no reason to be upset. If someone wants to make a mod like this they will. Personally I don't like the JRPG fantasy style mods, because it breaks my immersion. But there are a lot of mods for what you are looking for already, including complete character models and weapons. They just are not on the nexus that I am aware of, try the advanced search option. But if someone doesn't want to spend the time and effort to make it, thats the modders decision. Just give it time, something will pop up sooner or later. -
LE Bringing Final Fantasy to Skyrim

I personally don't care for the Anime mods. But some of the Japanese Mod creaters make really interesting western style almost lore friendly mods...to bad they never upload them to the Nexus, and keep them on their personal sites or Japanese uploaders, with notations like "Nice to meet you do not upload to nexus! My mod is not for the foreigner!" -
