  1. Not satire. I'm pretty sure it depends very much on the perk. Nearly all regular perks do have different IDs for each rank, as shown by what's needed to add 5 ranks of Sneak. However, some magazine perks are different. While magazines like Wasteland Survival Guide still operate like regular perks, linear improvement perks like Grognak the Barbarian and US Covert Ops can be added in multiple ranks.
  2. You need more power armor frames. Each power armor frame can only have one power armor equipped on it at a time. Don't worry. Keep playing and I'm sure you'll find a lot more frames. If you only grabbed those armor pieces and abandoned those frames...
  3. It absolutely is necessary. You'll be surprised just how stupid companion AI can be when it comes to sneaking. It makes perfect sense to me, "stealth" in theory should always be done in groups or at least pairs, and seldomly is it done solo. It's simply that Bethesda games never designed this aspect well enough to promote coop stealth. I wish some modders will eventually make a Stealth AI mod, where companions can, for example, be commanded to take down a marked target on your mark, so that you can your companion can sneak attack two enemies simultaneously for double takedowns. Or a command to make your companion whistle, so that an enemy may slowly walk into the perfect position for you to land a kill. There are so many opportunities for coop stealth, but Bethesda never paid it much attention. Some good examples of when multiple people sneaking can be seen in Splinter Cell Blacklist MP or Invisible Inc (X-COM style stealth strategy game). There's of course also the pragmatic reason: some players enjoy both stealth play and companions, and would rather have both companion banters, affinity gains, etc. and stealth gameplay.
  4. Since release, one problem that has plagued stealth players is the companion, who nearly always gets in our way of sneaking around, especially since the excellent level design in some buildings allowed fairly vertical progressions. I have finally found a way to make your companion completely stealthy on PC. Make sure not to fall to the temptation of applying these fixes to your own character and ruin your game with their OPness.Set your companion's agility to 10, by targeting the companion in console, and entering "setav agility 10". 2. Add the 5 levels of Sneak perk, by targeting the companion in console, and entering: addperk 0004c935 addperk 000b9882 addperk 000b9883 addperk 000b9884 addperk 000b9881 Add 10 levels of the Covert Op perk, by targeting the companion in console, and entering "addperk 0008e3a4" ten times. Mod your companion's armor with "Muffled" (legs) and "Ultra-lightweight" or "Lightweight", and preferably they should wear light armor (i.e. leather). Download the mod "Legendary Modification", install the optional "Chinese Stealth Armor" component during installation. Mod all pieces of your companion's armor with the Legendary effect "StealthBoy".Your companion will now be completely silent and invisible while in stealth.
  5. A complete solution has been found, that will practically guarantee that your companion does not get in your way in stealth. 1. Set your companion's agility to 10, by targeting the companion in console, and entering "setav agility 10". 2. Add the 5 levels of Sneak perk, by targeting the companion in console, and entering: addperk 0004c935addperk 000b9882addperk 000b9883addperk 000b9884addperk 000b9881 3. Add 10 levels of the Covert Op perk, by targeting the companion in console, and entering "addperk 0008e3a4" ten times. 4. Mod your companion's armor with "Muffled" (legs) and "Ultra-lightweight" or "Lightweight", and preferably they should wear light armor (i.e. leather). 5. Download the mod "Legendary Modification", install the optional "Chinese Stealth Armor" component during installation. 6. Mod all pieces of your companion's armor with the Legendary effect "StealthBoy". Your companion will now be practically completely silent and invisible while in stealth.
  6. A side effect of asking companions to stay at the entrance of a location is that you don't gain any affinity from lockpicking and whatnot if you are too far away from the companion. Further, you miss out all their banter and comment which is pretty much the key reason you bring them along.
  7. Some semi-fix that makes the situation slightly more bearable. Companion's stealth will still be a mess, but he/she will mess your up relatively less frequently: 1. 4. Mod your companion's armor with "Lightweight" and "Shadowed", and preferably they should wear light armor (i.e. leather). 5. Apply the Chameleon legendary effect to all pieces of your companion's armor. See here: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Legendary_armor_effects
  8. This is especially a problem in some buildings. I really appreciate how vertical buildings feel now, with so many ways up and down the levels. Regretfully companions are born dumb and are not good at navigating holes in ceilings and whatnot. What ends up happening is I would sneak around in a big building, but my companion would drop down some hole, try find its way up and aggro a ton of enemies on the way back. In FO4 companions really need to be more than just "hard to detect", they need absolute stealth.
  9. In FO4, companions are even worse at sneaking than previous games. The majority of companions will make stealth play significantly more difficult if not outright impossible. I think a mod that confers absolute stealth to companions, while the player is not engaged in combat, will allow us stealth players keep both our playstyle and our companions.
  10. Ah, so Dance of Death already increases the probability for both the player and NPCs, and it's simply due to those hard to meet conditions do NPCs rarely pull off killmoves?
  11. Hi all, As topic says, is there a mod or console command that can increase NPCs' kill move chance against other NPCs? I know Dance of Death allows you to disable killmoves against player, and that's not what I'm looking for. In particular, I want my followers to always perform killmoves on enemies when all conditions are met (i.e. enemy has low health). It'd look great with Warzone too, with groups of troops fighting and inflicting killmoves on each other. Dance of Death is great and all, but it's somewhat lackluster when the player is the only one pulling off fancy moves while every other fight just end in random strikes.
  12. So I started a new playthrough with a ton of new mods. Everything, literally everything seemed to work perfectly fine. That is until I got onto a horse and made a save on it. After that, ALL my save games were somehow "broken", even the ones made before this new playthrough. By broken I don't mean that I'm unable to load them. Far from it. However, as soon as I load any save, my character would start "falling" upward (with the falling sound effect) into the sky at a 45 degrees angle, no-clipping through any mountain or building. This applies both indoors and outdoors. The only exception is if I'm on a horseback, where the physics remain in tact but the game would crash in a few seconds. Further, as soon as I try to dismount the horse my character starts flying again. Initially I thought that this may be a problem with the Convenient Horse Mod and SKSE. However, after disabling both of them the problem still persists. I don't think my Skyrim has ever broke so... utterly! Here's a video of what the problem looks like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wK2K9ht3oUw Note that I unmounted the horse at the very start of the video, but no animation played. The game also crashed after I tried to fast travel in mid air. Usually even waiting will crash the game. What I have tried thus far (in vain): - Launch game without SKSE. - Disable Convenient Horses mod. - Use console command "coc" to travel to places. - Use console command "showracemenu" either in midair or on horseback. - Load earlier saves. - Pray to Stendarr. The only thing that seems to be unaffected is starting a new game. However, I'm unwilling to give up on my game's progress. Does anyone have any idea just what the heck is going on with my game? o.O Thanks in advance.
  13. The most iconic dragon shout is definitely "Fus Ro Dah" which earned its fame in the trailer. Sadly shouts ingame don't work exactly the same way. Ranked shouts such as "Fus Ro Dah" would instead have quite a delay during shouting for gameplay purposes. A mod which reduces or removes this "charging time" between a shout's ranks would greatly help us recreate the shouts' epicness shown in the trailers.
