Calm down, I was just being funny. I merely think it would be hilarious to watch a Desire Demon head floating around. I honestly couldn't care about the immersive experience being broken. I should've qualified: sex within the media. Sex is fine... even awesome. I'm a Christian, but not one of those that thinks sex is a horrible twisting of life. Just I'd rather not have it in my games/movies/etc. Hope that clears things up. :wink:

Also, I took a bit of a look at the toolset. Looks as though you can edit your own cutscenes in there, so it seems like it would only be a minor stretch of the imagination to edit (e.g. replace) existing cutscenes. Fair enough. Let's see if I can explain my reasoning. (For the record, I DO have both Morrowind and Oblivion, and I was even planning on getting Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2 as well.) I would like to argue that sex is not the central part of Dragon Age, as your football metaphor suggests. I realize major parts of DA are about sex, but it is definitely not central. If I were to use your metaphor, I might say, "Buy a football game and remove one of the benchwarmers." Maybe you view it differently, and I'm okay with that. But I view sex as unnecessary in games and *braces self* immature and dirty. A secondary reason I would like to remove sexual stuff is because I know my younger brothers will be playing this as well. I bought the game Dragon Age for the story, the fantasy world, and even the battle system. I never buy games for sex. Dragon Age has extremely good ratings, and I hear it's fun. I would like to experience the fun without the sex. I know many people who feel the same--the only thing hindering them from buying the game is the sex. So even if you don't agree, I hope it makes a little sense where I'm coming from. And please (to future posters as well), don't feel like you have to mother me or decide that DA isn't the best game for me. It's a little condescending--I know you said you weren't trying to be a jerk, but condescending usually comes off that way. I'm an adult and I can make my own decisions, thank you.

A floating head/stomach/legs would be totally hilarious, but it'll work for me. I have two more questions: is it possible to disable certain cutscenes? (e.g. the "sex" scenes). And are there any ways to, in a sense, "get rid" of the brothel? Or would I just have to avoid both of these when playing the game (which I know is possible, whereas it's impossible to avoid the Desire Demon)? I'm unfamiliar with how the brothel is integrated into the game (for a good reason, lol), so I don't know, maybe disabling sex scenes would help with that as well. To remove specific cutscenes in many games, one would just go into the settings (usually an .ini file) and set a value to 0. Most cutscenes I know of being disabled (that way, or through a mod) are the intros, so I'm unsure whether it would work for a specific cutscene in the middle of the game. Am I making any sense? Again, thanks for being willing to help. And don't feel too rushed. I'm patient. Usually. :whistling: EDIT: I also remembered another thing... there's a Dryad (she appears with Werewolves in a few trailers) that is about as well clothed as the Desire Demon. Would it be too much trouble to use the same seethrough method on her?

Actually, zephyre12, this is a potential lead for a solution. Since the Desire Demon is already within the game, that means it could be retextured or removed, right? And I know removing the entire body of the Demon might be a bit... odd... but it would work, correct? Granted, that would only be a temporary fix, since it would be a little ridiculous to watch the lower half of a bikini running around (thus... immersion broken... haha), but would it be possible to use as a last resort?

I'm pretty tech savvy, so that was actually very helpful (might've been even if I wasn't). Thank you for explaining without being a jerk about it. :thanks: I'll be waiting for that super genius, since it's bound to happen sooner or later. And thank YOU for somewhat disagreeing and still not being a jerk about it. If anyone hears about editing models within the game, please feel free to inform those of us who would like a modesty mod. :biggrin:

Nogford, I love how you judge my character with only a tiny little window into my life. The fact that you think I'm immature is only slightly ironic. I'll just go ahead and put you down on the "doesn't want to help" list. No need to bring up the insults. Kevinwastaken, I know you're being sarcastic, but that actually made me laugh pretty hard.

Why do you keep wondering about my motivation to play the game? We're asking for a mod. Of course parts of the game revolves around sex and violence. But the reason I play games is the story, the strategy of fighting, the adventure and exploration. I like to be immersed in another world. That's why I play video games. You can play for whatever reason you like, but it seems silly to me to attack my motivation for a mod where, if it had been about anything but sex and violence, I sincerely doubt you would have brought up the issue.

Well, actually, as soon as I find a way to turn the gore down, I will. Regardless, I still think it's a reasonable request; I know they're covered (barely), but I would like more than that. For crying out loud, there's a "White teeth" mod. If we have things like that, it can't be that unreasonable to stick something on the desire demons. I don't really appreciate being looked down on for just asking (or... agreeing with the asker... whatever).

I know. I understand the purpose of the desire demon. I just don't want that much near-nudity in my games. Seems like a reasonable request to me. :smile:

For the record, I'd like to see a sort of "modesty mod" as well. Anyone feel like helping us out?
