  1. hey there guys tyokio lent me a hend and he made just a little test ingame you cant see anythink much i just wanted to see how are textures reacting in the engine ....you can see allot of weird things on it right now its becouse of the normal map which is in development and couses soem issues ingame...

  2. well that texture wasnt finished and it was made by Skree i think he doesnt have much time so ill give i a shot myself.

     

    And i have pretty many isues with UV map it doesnt work as i want so i need to edit it a little put couple of stuff here and there...

     

     

    what do you mean digital camo do you have some sort of img or textue ... ill make a test

  3. OK guys heres goes nothink iam trying to learn texturing i was learining some tips in these days and maybe i catched a few tricks and tips...

     

    BIG WIP nothink much to show yet progress is now about 5-10%

  4. Iam gonna post an update today there iam gonna finish the rest of armor and continue the project.

     

    iam planning to make a special weapon only for this armor and trust me i got a rough sketch and its going to be fun :smile:

  5. well its my lets say 2 or 3rd skulp iam gonna try iam practicing a little bit preparing to make my own normal map was trying to learn some tricks how to make nice mech skulpts :smile: cant really start yet waiting for the final uv and mesh

     

    i can only start teasing you :whistling:

Guys it may only maybe look like its worse now but i must say skree made a great fixing on that he made polyflow much more clean this way there wont be issues with texturing and overall he improved the mesh... Its going out great i think you just should wait for the result of normal maps that will make it much more interesting. Thx for sharing your time mate :thumbsup:

     

    about the original power armor i was pretty much shocked too when i exported it in 3ds max. Bet.. made allot of mistakes thats the thing we all know about it.

    Stuff like screws and rivets are going to be done in texture since it takes alot less time than to model them in for a high poly capture...

     

    Flickone have you decided how the armor is going to be bolted together/rivetted?

    Do you want seams down the middle like the vanilla Power armor? o.O?

     

    Very nice work overtherei cant see any triangle left behing that will be ebjoyable sculpting :thumbsup:

     

    about the bolting iam not sure.... planning to get some updates to show how sculp goes?

     

    About the rest of armor mesh it does really have a lot of polys but really many can be reduced..... the mesh of the armor isnt final will be update soon.

  8. Okay your unwrap is done. Going to tweak this model cranking up its polycount to make a rough Hi-poly for normal map generation

     

    So far the model sits at 3200 polys, which is pretty heavy... (6k tris ouch)

     

    Going to see if i can get it down to atleast 3000 polys once I bake your normals for ya.

     

     

    Ill texture it too if you want, i have some fun ideas for this one :)

    offcourse mate cant wait espessialy your work :closedeyes:

     

    about the rest of the armor its still under development cant tell you about polycount right now...

    as i was looking on original fallout models i think they made a low res. mesh after that they made a some edits like making no thiangles and export it in zbrush or mudbox iam planning to the same thing gonna remove all the trianglesexport it in zbrush and do some nice skulpting and i will try to texture it in zbrush too.... but i dont get so exited couse iam terrible texture artist...

  10. I UV unwrap stuff all day long at work.

     

    I wouldnt mind giving your model a shot if you want a quality professional unwrap done.

     

     

    You'll have to prepare yourself for critiques though, when you unwrap something, every single vertex and polygon is exposed for me to see and any errors or modelling mistakes will be revealed. If you want to receive criticisms that is

     

    (only to help improve the model overall i mean. Not to insult anyone, everyone makes things in iterations until they get critiqued to make it better)

  11. as i said learning to uv map takes maybe 30 minutes and if you need one day more or less to release it it wont matter imo...

    once you understand how mapping works the easiest way to create a good looking map is to just split the model in parts and add a box mapping around each part, once finished weld the elements back together or dont...

    mapping should be done AFTER youre done with the mesh tho btw (is your helmet final?)

     

    well i pretty much know how to map just cant find time for that... about the helm i think it is final iev got nothink more to add

  12. tthx for comments guys iam gonna try to find out something about it but iam afraid i wouldnt risk a to put some protection on hands it may will be buggy ingame.

     

     

    Now guys we have a problem becouse of noone has uvmapped a helm yet i cant imagine who will try to UV map the armor. My good old friend told me hes gonna rig it for me with the fallout 3 skeleton so it will be playable in the game but no UV means no texture no textures no plesure :confused:

     

    so guys if you really want this ingame someone needs to UV it i have allot of school and i barely find time to model this guy and i cant efford time to learn UV mapping corectly. So if anyone is interested pm me or something...

  13. guys iev been thinking a little bit more about this armor. I cant code but how about

     

    1. Making missions - create a full 5 quest only for this armor

     

    A Mission} You got a task from elder Lyons to go in SIN CITY!!! There is a great building of Technology of BrotherHood of steel which made a new prototype of power armor. You travel to SIN CITY!!! and Technology of BrotherHood of steel is under attack by super mutants with lets say 5 Behemoths. After this fight you will go to talk to elder and he thx to you for your help and tells you your worth of wearing this prototype armor.

     

    B Mission} You get acces to underground technology Laboratory. And there he is the guy there are so many scientist a hall and hes there shining on you hes under powerfield you talk to doc which stands the most closed to powerfield with armor you talk to him he tells you you need special training with this armor and they say they must inplant somethink in your body but the part was only in part of this underground which was effected by high radiation and there are only ghouls in there and i would pick about to kill there about 100x ghouls {and you meet a new NPC a soldier of brotherhood one of the best soldier in SIN CITY whos wearing T51B armor and hes pretty old!!!}. After you find a part of that inplant you travel back and for last match put there 30 radiated ghouls. After you bring it they will inplant it in you and powerfild will dissapear and you take the armor.

     

     

    These are first to missions planning to write C, D, E soon. so guys tell me what you think about this idea.

     

    Tommorow wil be update with legs.

    ronin great idea about that i was thinking about that too but it will be a little more complicated but i think i can find a trick to make it happed...and iam not Vanilla :smile:

     

    NOW READ.... if everythink goes fine i think model will be released this sunday :happy: for uv map and your textures i cant wait for :smile:

     

    I have REQEST i need couple of models exported in OBJ file i need stimpack, granades, reservois of pistol, laser, and assult weapons, i dunno how to say it in english i need like this little jewelery which you find in every brotherhood of steel member hope you know what i mean...

     

     

    would be great to have it today in next couple of hours i will be making belt and i needthose things...
