  1. Actually, I had GOW in mind when I wrote that. In fact, that was the single thing that bugged me the most about it; bouncing between sticky spots when you're trying to run from whatever giant thing was trying to eat you at the time, or not taking cover when or where you were intending. Made movement seem really clunky at times. Again, it's your taste, and I certainly wouldn't have to download it, but I'd still be much happier being able to lean/prone.
  2. Lean and prone keys would make a lot more sense to me. Personally, I always found the "sticky" cover spot thing kindof annoying. I prefer to be able to move freely.
  3. I just hope there will be some elevation variation. I'd like to see some really deep spots, as well as spots shallow enough you have streets rising up out of the water. Looks like this person figured out the water properties issue: http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=90528
  4. The dialog possibilities with stif - er... Butch would be SO worth working it in...
  5. Greensoda: How about adding Butch's mom to that list? :P
  6. Can you just set the amount the water heals you to 0? And that face bears an uncanny resemblance to a certain french lady. A very good start. Ooh, how about a skyscraper with a boat crashed through part of it? Now that's something you don't see everyday... This could be pretty sweet, as long as you don't have to play Kevin Costner with gills...
  7. I'm all for throwing geographical correctness out the window for coolness' sake. My recommendation would be to make the water non-radioactive (realistically, the constant mixing with sea water would probably dissipate it anyway) so that it could be explored freely, but make it so you can't gain health by drinking it either (sea water's no good). Would be a great opportunity to add some particularly nasty water-bourne mutants swimming around in the depths too. Perhaps this would be a good place to put that one guy's mod where he was making a suspended city between skyscrapers...
  8. This would be pretty awesome, I think. It would be nice if some boats could be made to work with it, though. I was thinking an underwater vault would be pretty cool, but your idea is actually possible. Swimming through flooded skyscrapers and whatnot would be pretty sweet.
  9. It would be nice if body types could vary between different NPCs a little bit, instead of all being the same... Probably not possible, though..?
  10. Plot overhaul: Change all references to it being 200 years after the war to somthing more like 50. Maybe even add some old survivors from before the apocalypse. As it is it just doesn't make any sense that there's ammo and other goods from the war, as well as computers, etc. laying around everywhere. I know it's kind of an odd request, but it just bugs me. Underwater vault: Don't know if this is at all doable, but I was thinking it would be fun to be able to look up through a window and watch people getting eaten by mutant fish. Bleeding: Having to stop and patch yourself up so you don't bleed to death. NPCs looting: Someone made this for oblivion, hopefully someone'll do it for this. NPCs and enemies scavenging for things off corpses, etc. Would probably need to make them ignore quest items. And I second the more plant life request.
  11. Yeah, not pausing the game when you bring up the pip boy would make sense. That way you couldn't stop in the middle of battle and eat a whole bunch of crap while you're getting shot. Could be combined with healing taking place over a period of time, instead of instantly regrowing a leg if you use a bunch of meds or eat a bunch of food? I always thoght those two things were pretty silly.
  12. How about being able to sleep in any bed, but only get in trouble if you get caught?
  13. Yeah, for the hand signals, basically I was thinking you could use it to wave at an NPC and see if they wave back, or just start shooting, etc. Could also be useful with friendlies when you didn't want to alert nearby enemies too, though. Say, if you and your bud were waiting on opposite sides of a road to ambush someone coming by, you could have a signal to open fire, etc. It should probably only work if they were looking in your direction, though. If they weren't facing you, you could shout, with different dialog options like "Drop it or die", etc., but if they had buddies nearby, they'd hear you. I'd also like to be able to throw items as a diversion.
  14. Anyone know the triangle count / texture stats of a brahmin? (I don't even own the game, my computer can't handle it, btw)
  15. Didn't find this when I searched the thread, so... I'd like shout and hand signal options. Basically, so that instead of magically knowing whether someone is hostile or not, be able to shout at them from a distance, and be able to threaten / negotiate before getting too close. Hand signals would work the same way, but wouldn't alert prying ears. I'd also like the ability to renegotiate with them after changing their mind by nearly killing them... I'm also interested in helping with a vehicle mod, if anyone figures out how to implement them. I've done some modeling and skinning in the past, like this for a bf42 mod: http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr220/gitoffame/cmv1_HRS21.png I'm not a coder, and I would need to get an idea of suitable triangle counts / texture sizes etc. But I figure it would be a fun way to add some meat to my portfolio. Oh, and hello.
