  1. With which issue? If it's the face texture, there's now a mod to rectify that. If you mean the headgear bugs, I'm not sure.
  2. Wow, I suddenly want to get a follower and lend them my Wabbajack...oh the fun that could be had xD
  3. Sounds like you've managed to become a vampire without the game setting your race to the vampire race. Are you able to feed on sleeping NPCs?
  4. Apparently the argument that command takes is a variable of the type Message (MESG) rather than an arbitrary string. I'm not sure how to get a list of all the available Messages, but doing setactorfullname a81ff sets an actor's name to Playtesting Temporary Message (one of the few MESG objects I found with help message 0). You can try searching for various things you might want to name it with help <whatever name> 0. If you find any MESG: objects, use the reference id in parentheses as the argument for setactorfullname.
  5. When you become a vampire, it actually switches your race to a vampire version of your regular race in order to apply the appearance changes and add the feed and vampire sight abilities. Apparently using showracemenu caused this not to happen. To fix it, just use player.setrace nordracevampire (if you're a nord). Just replace nord with your race if you're something else. You can do player.setrace nordrace after that if you don't particularly like the vampire appearance, but you won't be able to feed again.
  6. You could try selecting Karliah (click on her with console open) then going where you need her and using moveto player
  7. Hmm, I figured it was just caused by standing in the sun too much with high level vampirism or something of that sort. I got to level 3 again after using that fix I mentioned and still have a clean face since I've been avoiding the sun. I'll try making it happen again to see what causes it. The eyes in your picture are the right color for a vampire. It's not a very pronounced color, but it's a sort of light orange. Edit: Seems I was wrong. I get the black stuff on my face every time I load after switching back to vampire. I also loaded a non-vampire. changed it to vampire, saved and reloaded, and got black stuff, so it definitely shows up every time you load a vampire. My solution: make a file called fixme.txt in the skyrim folder with the following player.setrace bretonrace player.setrace bretonracevampire That way, I can type bat fixme in the console to reset my appearance.
  8. Same here, but using sexchange in the console fixes it temporarily. Same thing for arrows stuck in you that won't disappear.
  9. The texture on the face is normal for vampires. It's apparently supposed to be sun damage to the skin or something. I got the same issue with the thieves' guild hood as a breton vampire, so I'm guessing it's a bug with the way the game handles the vampire heads. If you want to get rid of the face texturing, you can open the console and do player.setrace nordrace. This will make sure your appearance stays the way you created your character, but you won't be able to feed. You can either switch back with player.setrace nordracevampire every time you need to feed, or you can just switch back right away an enjoy an undamaged but still vulnerable to the same damage vampire face.
  10. I'm having some technical issues relating to vampirism, but first, a little background. I decided that I wanted to play through the game as a vampire, so I contracted the disease and went along my merry way. After a little while, however, I noticed my character's face was covered in black stuff and looking a bit bony. I didn't particularly like that, so I set out to correct it. The solution I settled upon was to use setplayerrace to set my race back to bretonrace rather than bretonracevampire and manually adjust all my stats back to their correct values. This worked wonderfully to fix my appearance, so I figured the problem was solved. About an hour later, it was time to feed, and I discovered a problem. Apparently characters that aren't a vampire race don't have the Feed option when activating a sleeping npc. I can't simply switch my race back to vampire because that would cause my stats to reset again, requiring that I manually correct all of them every time I need to feed, so what I need is either a way to fix my appearance while keeping my race as bretonracevampire or a way to manually reset my vampirism level or force the feed interaction, possibly even add it back to my interaction options. I've done some searching in the console and came across a couple interesting things. The first is IMAD: VampireTransformDecreaseISMD, which seems to be a function for exactly what I need, but I don't know what an IMAD is or how I would use it. The second is a variable under VampireSunISMDEffectScript found under player.showvars called VampirismLevel_var, but I have no idea how to modify this. It seems like it's probably local to the sun effect script anyway. So, anyone have any insights here? Or any modders care to tackle the issue via other means? Any help would be greatly appreciated. P.S. I've managed to make the game playable without feeding by removing myself from the Vampire PC Faction (000C4DE0), but this is obviously far from ideal as it removes all of the vampire gameplay elements. Also, -100% fire resistance...ouch. P.P.S. HOLD THE PHONES. There's been a breakthrough. Using player.setrace rather than setplayerrace allows me to change races without affecting my stats. Now I can switch at will and even remain a vampire without black stuff on my face. I'll leave this post as a reference for anyone encountering a similar issue, however unlikely that may be.
