  1. I was at work today, and in the downtime I had I remembered a mod idea I had for Fallout: New Vegas. As I am currently playing Skyrim, I thought I would roll it over to that game. So, the story goes: There is a group/cult that have taken the reigns so to speak from the old Dragon Cults, and needless to say, they don't take kindly to your mistreatment of their masters. So they hunt you. Endlessly. Strolling down a path minding your own business? They'll find you. Exploring a creepy dungeon? They'll find you. Talking to a Windhelm resident about the effects of crimson nirnroot on your weight-loss program? Better start running now. The quest will start shortly after your encounter with (and destruction of) Mirmulnir. With his death and the call of the Greybeards, the Cult now knows a Dragonborn has surfaced. And they want you dead. The cult will consist of Soldiers (player level), Sergeants (+2 player levels), Lieutenants (+4 player levels), Commanders (+6 player levels), and Generals (Dragon Priest at >+6 player levels). Soldiers will have random normal loot lists, Sergeants may have some unique/somewhat powerful leveled loot, Lieutenants will have greater chance of unique/powerful items, and so on and so forth. NPCs can be any class (Warrior, Mage, Thief) with leveled weapons, armor, and loot lists (except Soldiers). NPC group size will increase within a given span of player levels like so: Levels 1-5, 2 soldiers; levels 6-10, 3 soldiers; levels 11-15, 1 sergeant and 2 soldiers; levels 16-20, 1 sergeant and 3 soldiers; levels 21-25, 1 lieutenant and 1 sergeant; levels 26-30, 1 lieutenant and 1 sergeants and 2 soldiers; levels 31-35, 1 commander and 1 lieutenant and 2 soldiers; levels 36-40, 1 commander and 1 lieutenant and 2 sergeants; levels 41-45, 1 commander and 2 lieutenants and 2 sergeants; levels 46-50, 2 commanders and 2 lieutenants and 3 sergeants; levels 51-100, 1 general and 1 commander and 2 lieutenants and 2 sergeants and 4 soldiers. Hunting groups will issue forth from a number (4?) of "Dragon Shrines" with the boss being found in a "Dragon Temple". The temple can not be located until player has reached level 50 or has defeated Alduin, whichever comes first. The leader of the cult will be found somewhere within the temple, and the hunt will only cease when the leader is killed. Quests could be added to the mod, as well, to make it more interesting. Anyway, there is my idea so far.
  2. The cazadore is analogous to the Tarantula Hawk, commonly found in that region of the US and Mexico. That being said, they are a serious PITA! Tarantula Hawk
  3. 60 fps with V-Sync on or off, never goes past 60.
  4. I find it annoying that every time I leave a casino, I have to reset all of my weapon hotkeys (with the exception of holdout weapons) and pretty much what everyone else has said. I'm also a bit disappointed that we don't get to find out much about the Courier's past, which is something in Fallout 3 that helped me relate or feel more in line with my character, although we could always assume the Courier suffered from amnesia due to Benny's antics.
  5. There are many mods that will add god-like weapons to the game. You could try A New Weapon House (http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35267), adds a house just outside of Nipton with every vanilla weapon in the game, including the Debug MegaPistol (basically a One-Hit-Kill, fully moddable 9mm pistol). Tweaking weapon stats in the GECK is also a very easy solution if you want to control the stats yourself without retexturing/reskinning weapons. I use the Anti-Material Rilfe with incendiary rounds and it seems to take care of 99% of baddies with ease. Just find the mod(s) that fit your particular need, and get out there and own that $H1T!
  6. I'm leaning more towards game-related, as I've seen similar things happen in FO3 with NPC weapons, but never heads or viscera (thought that one was awesome). Nothing like skinning a Legion stooly with a 9mm pistol!
  7. Not sure if this happens due to the Wacky Wasteland perk, of a game glitch, but I thought I would share them. Pretty freaky!http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i420/LordHornswoggle/ScreenShot3.jpghttp://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i420/LordHornswoggle/ScreenShot5.jpg http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i420/LordHornswoggle/ScreenShot1.jpg
  8. I believe if you hold "*" on the keypad for a few seconds, you can move HUD Extended stuff with the arrow keys (you have to keep holding down "*" while moving them). Not sure about PPA.
  9. Only thing I can think it is is mod-related. I scan every file I download, I run a full scan every few days, I've run chkdsk, defrag after every mod install. My comp is less than 2 months old, home-built, all of my drivers and virus defs are up to date. The d3d9.dll was just a test. I never have this problem with Oblivion or Fallout 3, and I have way more mods installed for those two games than I've ever had on New Vegas. I'll start deactivating mods to see if I can get the problem fixed.
  10. I seem to be having a problem with objects in the environment. I can see cacti, bushes, trees, grass, buildings, creatures and NPC's that are 1000 yards away, but closer objects (with the exception of creatures and NPC's) won't appear until I'm 10 yards away from them, and then they pop up out of nowhere. I have the graphics set to ultra, so I can't really understand why that happens. I'm running the game on 2x GTX 470 SLi, Core i-7 950, 12GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM, I would think that could handle this game readily. Is there any way to fix this problem? I have changed power settings for my cards to max performance for NV, tried the d3d9.dll thing (which incidentally still showed up as GTX 470), tried default and tweaked .ini files, tried low, medium and high graphics settings, tried turning off AA and AF. FPS will drop from 60 to as low as 25 when all of the textures start popping up causing periodic crashes, it doesn't happen in interior cells, and it didn't happen at all in Dead Money. Files: FalloutNV.esm, Ambient Temperature.esm, Dead Money.esm, CaravanPack.esm, Inventory Access.esm, IWS-Core.esm, ELECTRO-CITY - CompletedWorkorders.esm, ELECTRO-CITY - Highways and Byways.esm, DarNifiedUINV.esp, HUD Extended - Ambient Temperature.esp, Portable Tent.esp, UHNV.esp, YangtzeBunkerPlayerHomeV1_5.esp, PerkEveryLevel.esp, NewVegasBounties.esp, IWS-Core-Patrols.esp, IWS-Core_Guards.esp, IWS-Core_Civilians.esp, IWS-AS-HighSpawns.esp, M82.esp, Companion SandboxMod.esp, Bullet Impact Increased LOD.esp, Jump Fall Fixer.esp, Fellout.esp, friendofthenightforfellout.esp, ELECTRO-CITY - Inventory Sorters Compatibility Patch - RegularCATEYEvalue.esp, ELECTRO-CITY - Imaginator.esp, Cannabis.esp, A New Weapon House.esp, Jetpack.esp, The New Bison Steve Hotel.esp
  11. From all that I've read and heard, the new engine will be moddable, DX11 tesselation will be used, and NPC's will NOT have scripts. They will be organic and react based on what the player/other NPC's do in-game. Also, if you spend a lot of time in a certain area, subsequent quests will take you to different parts of the map so that you have to really explore the environment. Sounds kickass!
  12. I recently began my first house/dwelling mod, and cannot get into my home while in-game. I made sure both interior and exterior doors had teleport references to their respective locations (in the GECK), but when I click on the door, my char does not enter. What else to I need to do in order to get my doors to work? Never created any mods more complex then editing weapon stats, so any help would be appreciated. I can get in and out if I activate the doors via the console, but it doesn't work when I try to open them normally.
  13. 2x VisionTek Radeon HD 4650 512MB in Crossfire. Been working great for awhile, all of a sudden card one gets hot for no apparent reason. Used to run at 43-44 C when idle. Never saw it go above 60-65 C, even when playing FO3 on Ultra settings. Now it idles at 85-86 C, and since Catalyst (or my cards) seems to have no fan control, not sure what to do.
  14. I'm having a problem with Leliana, too. Her approval of me is at 100%, but it says neutral. The only romantic thing I can say to her is that she is the best thing that ever happened to me. Don't really get the "neutral" part.
