  1. I try to search for the K ENB, which supposedly is the best enb, but every link I click says that the file is hidden, no matter if it is any of the 3 versions I have read about.

So, what happened? Where can I download it?

  2. Well, if this already is implemented I have not seen the option the... 5 times (I think so) I checked the settings.

But I would like to comment on a mod, and if I get a reply, a notification to appear just like when a mod is uploaded, updated and all that.

I find the option to track EVERY comment on a specific mod, but I can't find the option to track just the replies of your comment in mods.

Is this already implemented? If it is, where can I find it?

  3.

Now let's go back to your issues with lore. So for you, the lore is a boundary, and not a framework?

It's just that sometimes I feel that when someone makes a quest mod that it's not 100% lore-friendly then they automatically dislike it in some way instead of ignoring it.

I mean, it's a MOD after all, and you can do anything you want with it.

You are not the creator of the game, nor your mod is going to be included in the next TES game (or is it?...)

Sometimes I feel disappointing when people just don't want to have fun outside the lore. It's like they feel it's their work and duty to stick with it. But it is not, it's an option, maybe a very popular one, but it is still something they do for free and because they like it.

  4. You find a game you enjoy a lot, and want to put your own creations in it because.... because you want to.

So people who just don't like lore-friendly mods are kind of limiting themselves in my opinion. Just let your creativity fly and put whatever you want in it, and accept it if you see it.

It's like freedom of speech in a game, haha.

I'm going to be a true modder in the future, I decided, and to be honest I'm sure I won't do lore-friendly mods. Because I want to create something that comes from my own mind, and if it fits with the lore, then it fits.

i love to make stories, I love to make characters, so why limit myself to the lore of the game? Just do something great, something everyone will like, and push that "lore boundary" that some people are stuck in.

I'll do quest mods if I do end up serious in this. I will read the lore if I need to, and I'll ask if I'm exceeding, but again, the lore is not going to push me back :D

  5. Anime-like mods sometimes are too exaggerated, but that's because asians are used to those types of games with super high and unrealistic combat like Devil May Cry. Then when they play Skyrim, they consider it "kind of boring". It's because they are not used to that.

For us, anime mods are kind ridiculous.

And for them, the vanilla game is kind of boring.

I do like some anime stuff, but just because I like to go through the limits of the real world. Realism is good, but too realistic can sometimes be too much of it.

(a friend of mine played Skyrim just one day and traded it with me, he did not like it because it was "too realistic"... yes... the vanilla game....)

So if you put some fantasy inside the game, it is lore-breaking. But at the same time, it comes to personal tastes.

The Legend Of Zelda had always been a simple sword slash to hit enemies... until Hyrule Warriors came along. For me, someone who loves extreme slashing games like that, I am fascinated. So sometimes I would love Skyrim to be the type of game I like the most, while maintaining its main characteristics because after all, it is The Elder Scrolls and not Kingdom Hearts.

  6. EnaiSiaion, just do what you want. If people can enjoy your quest mods its fine.

I'll be learning how to do quest mods from now on. I love to make stories, and I want to mod Skyrim, so I'll learn how to and do various quest mods just like you.

And ALL of them are not going to be lore-friendly that much. Just realistic in some way, but added fantasy according to what the game includes.

  7.

Had a long discussion on the Brodual video of Dwemertech.

Apparently modern dwemer are supposed to be using steam power and nothing else, because they did in the abandoned cities on Nirn 4800 years earlier. Otherwise it wasn't lore friendly.

Well, I don't care XD. And I'm just about to play your quest mod. Just let my mage get there

Btw: I love quest mods, so I love you...

It breaks continuity. It breaks immersion; it ruins the coherency of the in-game 'universe'.

Well, I believe there is a difference between doing something different and doing something ridiculous, lol.

it does give me a "w t f" moment and kinda disrupts form the story, if they appear in a medieval-ish setting like Skyrim's.

But still makes the game fun. True, maybe it does not belong to Skyrim. But you have to remember this: "It is a mod". It doesn't matter, it does not have to be perfect. For me it just has to be fun and make you think "man, that looks cool, I'm going to stick with it".

    -----------------------------------

I have 5 characters, and I'm pretty sure if you check my signature that they do not feel too Skyrim-like, haha. But as I said, sometimes you just have to ignore that in order to feel good with your experience even if it not belongs 100% in there.

And... you know... if you already completed the game.

  8. I understand the desire to install a mod while maintaining the true feeling of the game. Install something that does not change the story too much and so still enjoy playing it.

But what is the purpose of mods then? Appart from including things that the original creators could not include in the final release of the game, it should also be about playing somethin new inside the same game.

For me, a good mod is the one that gives you:

    - Something you would love to see inside the game. (no matter what it is)

    - Includes something new. (not something that was lacking, something new)

    - Makes you continue playing even if you finished the game already.

I already beated up Skyrim on PS3 and got all trophies, so I mod my game in order to have a different experience while still playing the same game.

That's why I love mods that adds powers, quests, transformations, and other fantasy things. That's my taste. But I also like mods that give you a new feature inside the game that does not have to be lore-friendly. Like "Familiar Faces".

Quest mods that does not need to be tied to the backstory of the Elder Scrolls, just that feel good and uses the gameplay at it's fullest.

I mean, once you already played the game, why would you not want to innovate and break your limitations?

  9. I used another mod profile. You know, those that MO allow to keep different load orders inside it. Different plugins and different mods installed.

I just changed it and the texture was not missing.

Do you know why this is?

(So now I'll just have to reproduce the profile and it should be fixed)

  10. Just in case anyone is also having this issue, I'll list the things I tried and if it got fixed:

    It did not work:

    - Changing race.

    - Installing a new texture.

    - Reloading a new save game.

    Worked:

    - Using another mods profile in MO.

    Wait... what?

It's the mod profile? How can that be?

  11. I do, but they were quite a mess when I tried to install them.

So I sticked with the old version wich I already had.

But the problem is with every race, if it's a retexture I need, then I should install a mod that changes every race. Right?

EDIT: I installed the textures... but it is still purple...
