  1. The Blood-spattered damage screen that appears when your shield breaks and you take damage is lasting for entire matches. Fairly often. Needless to say, it's annoying at the best of times and borderline unplayable on darker maps. Has anyone else had this issue, or know of any fixes?
  2. I've been able to make nearly every tweak and adjustment I've wanted so far by editing the 2da files, which seem to be nice and straightforward. The only aspect I've had difficulty figuring out is how to edit class features, specifically the Monk's Flurry of Blows. I'd like to find the parameters that determine which weapons can be used. Is this something that can be accomplished be editing the 2da files, or would I need to delve into the toolset?
  3. I'm having an issue with Master skill trainers causing skills to level up twice per training. It sems to only happen when I try to level past 44. I know how to edit the number of times per level you can train, the training costs, ect. in the Creation kit, but I can't find anything pertaining to the number of levels you gain per training. Any insights would be appreciated.
  4. I have disabled and re-enabled my mods in just about every order imaginable. I've tried every fix I can think of not involving some sort of complex modding, which is entirely outside of my area of expertise. I apologize if my question bordered on a spoiler, but seriously, I've logged an obscene amount of time into this game and purchased all the extra content, and I'm stuck in this damnable expansion until I figure out a way past this glitch. And at this point, I can't think of any possible fix except to activate the previously stated quest via the console. I would greatly appreciate instructions on doing so, or any other potential fixes.
  5. Alas, it was 1.6 I was using when I initially had the problem... for the hell of it, I uninstalled the unofficial patch and re-installed 1.6, still the same issue. It's just my luck that The Mill seems to be the central hub leading to every location in the expansion. Since I have a file saved inside The Mill, would I be able to type something into the console to activate the "Sign up for the arena" part of the quest without having to leave the area? Certainly not the ideal fix, since it won't help if I have to leave and re-enter the area for any other reason, but as it stands I'm stuck in The Pitt with no way back or forward. Any other ideas?
  6. I recently installed The Pitt, and every time I'd attempt to enter The Mill the game would freeze. I downloaded "The Pitt Crash Fix" and activated it, and the next time I tried to enter The Mill loaded successfully. After running around for a few hours and finding all the Ingots, I left and started the arena quest. However, when I tried to enter The Mill again I encountered the same problem I had before. I've tried turning off all of my mods and installed the unofficial fallout patch to no avail. I started from an earlier save inside The Mill, and while I experienced no problems while inside the second I tried to leave and re-enter it froze again. Has anyone encountered this problem or figured out how to fix it?
  7. Particularly on the higher difficulties, and always when you're using a difficulty mod, you die long before your limbs end up getting crippled. It's an awesome game feature meant to add to the difficulty that just gets wasted. Someone should make a mod to make your limbs cripple in one shot (except maybe your torso). It would be awesome. Cooommmee onnn.
  8. Touche. It worked! I hadn't noticed the "DLC" folder when I went into items, and it was indeed the wasteland shock sword file that I needed to edit. I thank you gentleman for your patient assistance with my modding ignorance.
  9. Thanks! I never would have found that stuff on my own. However, I still cant seem to disable the ash pile effect... I went into Anchorage.esm and changed the crit effect on the 3 "testPhilElectricSword" files to "NONE", then saved it as SwordEffect.esp and checked that file and Anchorage.esm under data. Still turns enemies to ash... what am I missing? And if I'm asking stupid questions in the wrong forum, I apologize.
  10. The shock sword is a way cooler weapon than the shishkebab, but I find the ash pile effect profoundly stupid. If I remember correctly, you can change this by changing crit effect to none in the GECK. For some reason, although I have beaten Operation Anchorage and have the shock sword in my inventory, I don't seem to have Operation Anchorage.esm in my files, and the shock sword doesn't show up in said GECK. Any ideas why this would happen and how to get rid of the effect?
  11. If by "strange looking" you mean "the sexiest gun ever". I'd even take one that just magically reloaded, but from what I've gathered from you modding types half-assing it doesn't seem to be your style, which I totally respect.
  12. I completely agree. When you pick the love machine theme, they hang a giant light-up prop of two people fornicating in the middle of your house, yet they weren't willing to fade to black with some suggestive dialogue? Bad form. I took Lady killer as my first Perk hoping for some hilarious situations, and was sorely disappointed. When you use it to get info from Nova in the very beginning, you say something like "I'd love to spend some time with you babe, but I gotta find my Dad." Right, nothing gets a girl hot like talking about your Dad in the same sentence you imply you wanna do her. When you seduce that chick in Meresti for Ian's door code you give her some "I'd love to spend some time with you but I need to see this guy." BS. Not only does it continue the ridiculous trend of attempting seduction and coercion in a single sentence, you should lose karma for not following through and being a dirty tease. And then the worst of all, the AntAgonizer... "I believe in you." Aside from being neither seductive nor smooth, they squandered the perfect opportunity to make some sort of reference to invading her tunnels. Nope, the only piece of innuendo we're treated to is "Plow her beanfield" :wallbash:
