  1. The elf underwear replacement is a standalone file rather than part of the main package. As such, you can install just that and get the modified underwear appearance while retaining the default way the elves look otherwise. (it's not exact copy of the DA2 shapes but rather sort of middle ground between DAO and DA2 models, closer to DAO if anything. If it turns out it's still too skinny, it's easy enough to remove that folder from the override, restoring the default look ;> edit: same goes for the main update for this matter. each feature is in separate sub-folder so if it's only the eye modification that you'd like to keep, you can safely delete the sub-folders with other modifications.
  2. I post too much elsewhere so mostly lurking here ;>
  3. That hair is from "LOTC Hairstyle Collection", http://social.bioware.com/project/3766/
  4. You can avoid that by installing additional file from the package which adjusts the undressed body to match the fixed armours. There's two optional files like that to choose from -- either one wearing the underwear or fully nude. edit: Mookeylama, as far as i can tell changing the way arms are positioned and such would require changing the animations rather than the models, and this area has been so far pretty much untouched since there's only one tool to export animations.
  5. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1166 there's option to knock Alistair out in the discussion, although it may need some basic level of Cunning attribute to show up.
  6. Heh, that's not even close to a good comparison for your point. Well, i'll have to disagree. That is, if i view a statement about finding female behind attractive sexually as something that can be taken at face value, then i think it can apply just the same when the statement is "i prefer the look of female behind than of male one".
  7. http://social.bioware.com/project/2595/ it has the converted kid character braids as one of the styles.
  8. I'd say it's quite natural given the butt is the single part of human behind we tend to focus on. If anything it'd rather seem odd to me you'd choose to associate the mention of it with homosexuality, when anal sex is practiced by both orientations and as such when a guy looks at a woman and says "gee i'd like to f- that ass" there's much bigger chance he actually means exactly what he says, rather than concerns himself with whether he's being seen as homosexual by anyone nearby
  9. Uh, no. That reason is homophobic (for the most part anyway; I would grant a very small percentage to those who's sole reason for playing a female toon is to look at their butt ). Guys are probably more embarassed than anything that they're playing a female toon. So they throw out that reason to justify it. It's not necessary. It's totally fine if you like to play a fem toon. If you feel you need to use "probably" in your argument then chances are it's not as much of a fact as you try to make it sound. Not everyone plays the game with the mindset the character on screen is them. As such, not everyone is going to think "oh i'm playing a girl". For many it's going to be similar to how people play the Sims -- they direct characters on screen through their little adventures and watch these adventures unfold, but they don't associate these characters with themselves and they don't get self-conscious about some of these characters being females. Thus, it's perfectly viable for a heterosexual male to have a female character on their screen for no other reason but what they say -- that it's more pleasing to their eye. Because it really is. Same reason people make mods which remove armour pieces to show more of the skin. Because that's also something they enjoy to see.
  10. Ah, the way it was worded it seemed you're concerned about using external program which may possibly change the game experience. Even so, imo one NPC in far off and easily ignored corner of the camp, one who doesn't interact with you outside of single dialogue doesn't exactly change how the game events unfold. Of course, your mileage may vary. You might still want to consider going this route for one reason, though -- if you have already received the item in question i.e. Sten is now carrying his sword around, then altering the base item isn't going to affect your game (the properties of items are generally stored in the savegame) and the sword in your possesion is likely to remain unchanged. With the Winter Forge becoming the one remaining way to alter it the way you wish.
  11. While I appreciate this suggestion, I'd prefer to have Asala edited rather than adding a game altering program to the mix. The Winter Forge isn't a "game altering program", it's an add-on just like any other and it blends nicely with the core game -- there's an NPC at your camp which changes the items for you in a manner you request, and who can be totally ignored if you don't need her services. edit: DarkeWolf, the sword of the Sten is actually defined in gen_im_wep_mel_gsw_stn.uti
  12. I don't play with the character morphs enough to know really. But might be worth asking that question in this thread on official forums: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/20/index/10230 quite a few people there who make a lot of various characters, so they'd probably be able to help.
  13. What they don't support (fully) are actually the "preset shape" from the Feature Selection tab -- these predefined shapes are more of an on/off thing in the .mop preset, meaning even if you use them to very little degree, in the ,mop this shape will be fully enabled.
  14. If i recall right, this issue tends to happen if you convert your .mrh file into a .mop preset rather than the .mor file, the way Toolset generates the presets is somewhat limited like that. So i'd figure a way to avoid that could be to generate a .mor file instead and then use a program which allows to swap the head morphs of save file with external one, to "transplant" that onto your character. If you experience this with regular .mor files instead then sorry, no clue.
  15. We probably look at slightly different aspects here -- when i said boss level character, meant just that on the most basic level (comparing just attributes) such NPC is much stronger than the player's charater. While yes, the player can be powerful when they get a number of abilities and gear with high attributes, with these same abilities and gear the boss level NPC would (again) dwarf the player in comparison. So i can see why the dwarves wouldn't be so impressed with a (relatively) scrawny guy, compared to their own. Or to put it differently, if the game is already considered easy consider how even easier it'd be if your character was built "on top" of such boss creature template instead of the default lvl.1 stats.
  16. This is hardly different from attitude of lot of the players though, isn't it? I mean, even in this thread it pretty much boils down to displeasure that the player's huge ego doesn't get stroked but instead they're "just" like, "you will do".
  17. Well, two things. One, unlike the player the Death Legion NPCs do their fighting without the 'long-range support', without spells, heals and the heal/mana pots. Two, their commander is a boss level character -- this means even in terms of simple numbers he's objectively stronger, has more hp and can hit harder than the player's own character. So yes, from their point of view the player isn't really anything special and this view is quite justified. Compared to their style of fighting the PC can come across as bit of a sissy, especially if he then throws a tantrum like that when they call it as they see it rather than start kissing his feet for killing a few darkspawns. That said, they do acknowledge good fighter when they actually see one. The topsider sword side-quest shows that.
