what would be really cool is a regular paper map which you could EDIT yourself in-game using... a feather and inkwell ? as well as a journal that allowed for sketches as well as text to be added...

lol, EPIC quest... but maybe its not just one guy... maybe its a whole gang of bastards shooting adventurers in the knee trying to keep the adventuring to themselves? or maybe its just one crazy person whose parents were shot in the knee by an adventurer and now he/she is out for revenge ? i hope some one modes this quest in...

i like the idea of horse "skill" tree, and if such a mod was made - which would be a serious modding undertaking, i would hope there would be three branches in this tree, one for each type of player (mage, rouge, warrior). - mage rider (one hand casting) on horse progressing to double casting with some riding affecting spells - champion (on handed weapons, no shield) progressing to weapon + shield OR a lance , stuff like attack + dismount moves - bow rider bow use but only while not moving , progression to shooting while riding later shooting backwards while riding

from what vvk78 says it seems like making an open lock spell with probability of success depending on magic skill and player level etc. should be pretty easy once the CK comes out. Regarding door, sure they link areas but while opening a door via lockpick gets you into another area.. it is only due to the mechanic applied in that scenario of events. In fact doors are sometimes bugged and are left ajar so going from one place requires you to close them and then enter... hence there should be no problem with unlocking something without having to go into next area yes ?

yup, a pure mage should not rely on lock picking, I mean with the right amount of save load you can open anything but it brakes the immersion. A mage should be able to either magically unlock a chest or create air pressure within it to explode it open. Same for a barbarian... smash that lock. Essentially 3 mini games rather than one. The already existing one for rouges, Smash Dat lock for barbs, and use them magics for a mage.

+ also... come on if you are an assassin you have to have a cloak.. support for cloaks and capes on armor

More rings would be great and there should be no problem reducing the enchantments cap on them so it would not become cheating just more customisation.

oh man, MOONSTONE was epic! it was as gory as they got back then and it had dragons, magic, loot, and lot of monsters.. the atmosphere is very much like Skyrim indeed. I would love to have a chance to wear Moonstone armor indeed, but i would also like to swing my sword like in moonstone, hitting enemy behind me :D I wish i could help but im away from my home pc. You can find the game on abandonia dot com and download it for free ? also check it out on youtube : its certainly more gory than skyrim :D

well.. destruction magic would work pefecly fine underwater: lighting: shock's every close enemy frost: make all enemys move slower fire: makes the water boil.. I didn't imply you could not use destruction magic, but rather you should not due to proximity of caster to effect. With magic anything is possible but the problem is not so much about the magic itself but rather what the magic creates and how that interacts with the environment. On giving it a second thought though, magic underwater should be no problem no matter what the effect seeing as master level spells put you at the epicentre of a) a fire explosion and b) a snow storm... which do not harm you. so... yeah Bethesda... what's with the no magic underwater ?

agree... how come water can nullify swords and magic... surely swinging a sword in water is not easy or fast but its not impossible....and magic ? i get you should not set of destruction magic underwater...lightning does travel in water, frost...would stop itself in its path in water and fire underwater seems silly but... all other spells should work fine no ?

yes please, i hoard things in my whiterun house, separating them by categories and intentions into different storage units... the R and E buttons feel the pain!! :P

how about an item that would prevent a grand sould gem be filled with anything other than a grand soul ? i mean... a grand soul gem weighs what 0.5 ? full set of heavy armor weights (assuming dwarven) 34+13+13+18 = 78 and thats a lot of soul gems by weight... which can be used for enchanting as well as charging up weapons... so you suggest sacrificing 78 weight for something that... is worse than an actual soul gem ? fun ? no, woth it ? nope, maybe if it had less weight and had some other properties... as well as a really interesting quest to get it... hell yeah :P why not, more content is always good :D

its A GAME... hell if there was a choice i would want to marry one of those mammoths... or a giant.... or both,... having a freak'n giant/mammoth family would be pretty f'n awsuum!

I would rather there be an option where you can hire and or later in the game buy a carriage and have a few of your followers to tag along. A mod where you could have a chest on the carriage, depending on the type you buy you could have more horses and thus more weigh pulled along from place to place. A mod where you would leave all but one of the followers at the carriage when going on foot exploring. A mod where you could set up camp... deploy simple tool benches like potion making,cookery pot, enchanting tables, etc etc... and you could get ambushed at night... so then really you would not have to use fast travel because it would be more fun not to... the only reason i fast travel is because I sell everything above the 1:10 weight to price ratio, and collect all ingredients/ food, ores and stuff... and as i want to store them i need to go to my whiterun home after EVERY area... and running back every single time... from all over... makes it boring so i am forced to fast travel...

well... all great ideas all around so im just going to support this by saying that Sweeeeet mod idea, someone should make this :D
