Well, there is a big probability that this is the begging of an end. Look at CS GO. There are not free mods too. Consiquences are that workshop is a big trash can. Cause every single greedy scrub want money but dont want to do anything to get it so there are tons of cheap skins, not even different models. Just red/white/yellow ak. Its impossible to find any worthy content in this pile of crap.
