You go to a crafts fair, and buy a cute little dolly. When you get home, maggots pour out of it's eyes. You call the police, but then, to your horror you find out that... ...There is no police. No, the analogy isn't that great. I was on neutral ground about all this in the end, still am. I believed something could be worked out, but there were plenty of nonsense on both sides that only made it cancerous.
  2. I get random CTDs at random intervals when out in the open. I first thought this was due to spawns, but this even happened when I stood still in one spot. Textures also forget to load, but it this happens in conjuction with crashes may be random as I usually leave the game when I see it. I have used every tool I can think of to solve this; ENBoost, SSME, neither seem to really solve the problem. I am not sure exactly how this is possible as I avoid ENB mods due to how heavy they are and while I use some scripted mods, I don't see the connection as the occurences are too random. Or are they?
  3. The mods we have been enjoying so far and thousands upon thousands more still work. It's a bummer some of them have turned into mosh (mod+dosh, ain't I clever) but we can still use the version we have. And hell, if you are angry that wet & cold's 2.0 got a price tag, why not make a mod that does the exact same thing, but better? Nobody prevents you from doing that. And since steam greenlight and early access is full of dung, so will the paid mods as you cannot critique them without buying them. As strange as it would look from an outsider's persperctive, free mods is still were quality is at, and always will be. As long as they are allowed to exist, that is. Like Dark0ne, I fear the day when modding must be approved by the developers. Modding keep games alive, and sadly in the future it might be like charging a coma patient for life support.

  5. At first, my reaction to this was "This might just as well mean that a lot of full-time effort can be put into mods and make them absolutely amazing, expansion-class additions to the game!" But I soon came to the horrifying truth; content is stolen, mods that require SKSE, and a whole lot of trust for one another dies in the process. I am a cynical person, and as thus I always try to be positive, even in the worst situations. I am my true cynical self about this. I have seen Jim Sterling's Slaughtering Grounds debacle. I have seen the ugly messes that passes off for games on Steam these days. I know Steam got no eye for quality, copyright infringement or anything. Hell, there is currently a pay-mod with an armor set only available through console! Through CONSOLE! I rarely see even the simplest of armor mods do that here! Here is another big issue: People who play with mods love to play with mods, which means they won't be running just one. Here, we are all on the same level which means that if you run into problems, it will be easy to discuss troubleshooting. For these mods, it won't be that easy. The author has his own little forum, sure, but he could just as well make some mod that sounds awesome, is riddled with dirty edits and see the money roll in, and they will. Crashes and other issues will mostly likely ruin the day for everyone not used in using mods, believing these are extrordinarily fine mods with no problems whatsoever. Remember how Skyrim itself got dirty edits that can break the game entirely with a modded game, and you won't notice this until countless hours in? Yeah... I am really surprised the early access and steam greenlight programs haven't drawn in more lawsuits. I am probably treading familiar waters, but I just needed to say my part.
  6. Sorry for the necromancy, but I thought that this thread was still relevant. This bug also happens with Gobby the Goblin Follower. There are plenty of mods modding the area around Riverwood and Riverwood itself, but only a handful seem to touch on the tiny speck required for it to go completely haywire. If a kind soul could figure out exactly what, I am sure it would help both modders and players in the future. There is something these mods have in common, we just need to know what.
  7. Here are the things I have tried so far: Teleport to him: Teleports me to his usual spot behind the bar. Corpulus nowhere to be seen. Sit on a bar stool (usually opens dialogue): Nothing happens. Summon Corpulus to another area: Still invisible and incorporeal. Teleporting to him results in teleporting to the spot I summoned him to. Remove mods installed after bug was first encountered: No effect. Noclip mode (I believed that maybe his model had spawned upside down or something): Still nowhere to be seen. It would appear he is still in his usual spot but lacking a model and with it, collision and even script.
  8. No response? I must mention that so far he is the only npc I have found missing, well, he is there but not really.
  9. I have encountered a very strange bug that has made Corpulus Vinius invisible. I first believed he had gone out, but the tavern was full of patrons so it made no sense. I waited hours but he still didn't come. So, I decided to use the console to see what happened to him. I teleported right to his spot in the Winking Skeever bar, and could walk right over his supposed position. I moved him to my house, and teleported to him again, same thing. Instead of giving you a full mod list, I will start with a question: what sort of conflict could cause this? I believe this is a much easier clue to the answer than a long and convoluted list.
  10. Anyone who got the entity name for the mound? That is all I need right now.
  11. Sounds like you are not highlighting the misc quest properly. You need to highlight the "misc quests" on your quest list as well as the misc quest imparticular on that list.
  12. I tried that too, the wiki names it "Ragnvald Vale" but does not offer any codes. When looking for codes for it some days ago, I only found the code for the location of the mound, not the entity itself. Moving to this location instantly crashes the game on arrival.
  13. I do not believe you can reproduce this crash, of what I can gather, it appears randomly but if it happens once, it is destined to occur every time, atleast of what I got the impression of. I need the console identity name for the mound in the Ragnvald area, if I can disable that one then maybe it will work.
  14. Have them, the strange part was that this bug was mention in the patch log, but stricken through as if removed, probably because they did not find a proper way to fix it. This was regarding Karthspire though, not the mound in question.
  15. Looking around the internet, the infamous "Karthspire crash" seem to be a common problem. For those who don't know exactly what I am talking about there is a point (and I will avoid spoilers here) you need to go to Karthspire during the main quest. However, many mod and non-mod users alike (including one xbox player) have encountered crashes as soon as they reach this area during this quest. This is because a dragon mound in the vicinity is supposed to open and spawn a dragon, but instead most likely enters an endless loop, causing the game to crash. The solution is typing this in the console: prid fdae6 disable I have heard some say that this is related to Forsworn wearing non-default armor, but how these two things relate, I have no idea. Now, I had this problem, but solved it by typing the above. However, now much later in the game I encounter the same thing in an area north of Markarth. I encountered numerous crashes trying to get into that region, and then I found out there is another dragon mound there, and everything points towards it causing all of this. I have looked around the internet and found a few threads about this as well, but none of them got proper answers and what I believe is it's the same as Karthspire. If someone know the entity's name in the console, I would be most grateful. I am sad to say that right now I fear CTDs more than any dragon, which is not a good thing.
