Well, it was live another life. I haven't gotten into a batlle yet, but I was able to join the legion this time without any apparent glitches. So yeah. Problem solved.

You know what, I'm going to try without live another life, rush the civil war, and see if it works or if it's something else.

Yeah, I looked through all the stuff on the normal page and quite a couple pages on the forums, but found nothing against live another life. Maybe I just did something stupid and haven't caught it yet.

The other option is immersive weaponry, which is also a fun mod even if the war pick axes are op.

Well, I started a new file so I could try the Civil War Overhaul. I did live another life and went to Helgen, Bleak Falls Barrow, first Dragon, and then decided to get Azura's Star for the black souls I'd get during the war. I decided to go Imperial this time and when I got to solitude I go talk to the jarl and she talks about how Ulfric's already won the war. The entire war ended before I even joined a faction. The only thing I think could have been odd was that I checked out of Riverwood before Hadvar (whichever one is friends with the blacksmith there) could invite me to join his side. You know, just minutes after posting it I solved my problem. Even still, I'll write my solution here for others. Under NMM, I went to Settings up top and then to Skyrim. My Skyrim Directory was taking me to the wrong place! I changed it to Steam/SteamApps/content/Skyrim where it should have been anyway, and it was all fine from there.

I recently decided to play Skyrim again and have downloaded everything (I think) to start a lightly modded adventure. The problem is, NMM doesn't seem to recognize SKSE. The problem started when skyUI, when trying to activate the mod, gave me an error message about not having SKSE installed, despite the fact that it already was. So my first step was to check on forums that it was installed correctly. It, by all means, seems to be. I then noticed that, at the top left of the NMM where there is the option to launch skyrim, the pulldown did not have the option to launch through SKSE. I know that it should have this option. It seems to me, then, that NMM doesn't recognize my SKSE download. Likewise, upon hitting the normal "Launch Skyrim" button (for S and G) it gave me the error Failed to Launch 'Skrim Launcher.exe' The system cannot find the file specified. So it won't recognize that either, it seems. Before anyone asks, I have been running NMM and the SKSE loader as an administrator, so that's not the problem. This is also not a load order conflict. I can't even activate SKYUI in order to load it! NMM was just downloaded as the newest version today, as was SkyUI. SKSE is the 1.6.16 version. Other mods I'm currently using all work and are Alternate Start, Apocalypse Magic, UFO, and the Unofficial Patch.
