Need Help Starting a Working New Game

Did you get any error messages after you ran FNIS?

What is your system spec and OS?

Have you made any edits to your game ini files?

 

Only changes to .INI are re the required ones for Flora Overhaul, Only get a warning in FNIS for male skeleton but I don't use male character.

I'm running Win7Pro64, 12GB of Ram, 2GB Vram Nvidia GT675M, 128GB SSD not even 2 week old install of windows and I'm running 314.07 GFX Drivers because I was having issues with the 314.22's and I'm hearing alot of people complain about the most recent ones also.

 

 

You cleaned Skyrim.esm and so on ? You had CTD also before cleaning using the same mods ?

 

In all honesty I would try and return the official files back to originals. So many times I see people fighting troubles after cleaning those files (automatic cleaning options in tes5edit...). The files are working fine...

 

Perhaps you can give it a go and rename your cleaned files to .backup and have steam replace them with originals.

I've had issues with FNIS Generator. Random crashes but never a CTD consistently from one spot in the game. I would definitely try to put the official files back in. Some animations are really buggy and sometimes the game just doesn't accept them. I've had to live without those animations that require FNIS Generator to work in game.

It is perfectly fine to clean all of the DLCs and the update, but do not touch skyrim or you'll break the game. If you would like to return the original files for whatever reason, TES5edit creates a backup as default in your data folder - just rename it. Also, make sure that you always have the latest version of TES5edit and re-clean the DLCs whenever you get a new one.

I'm "pretty" sure I didn't clean skyrim.esm but I'm re-downloading anyway I forgot about the backups made by TES5edit and its almost done. I'll post an update on if I get through the scene or not.

Well, I'll disable the animations as a test since I don't NEED them. They should not effect the NPC animations though since I'm using PCEA but it doesn't hurt to try, thanks for the idea.

If you get errors in FNIS you have to take care, youre not a male character, but it's NOT only for you. Those skeletons apply to everyone.

If you have xp32 sketelons you should tick the box "Sketelon arm fix"

If you have any xp32 specific animation you need to fix other boxes as well for the correct animations. If you have gender specific animations you need to tick that box too. Actually you should run FNIS when you install/uninstall a mod... if youre not sure even if you have to, you should just run it (does no harm when ran when not needed, does a lot of harm when not ran when needed)

So, I started from scratch once again JUST to be positive I'm not doing anything wrong. So all I have now are all of the Unofficial Patches, SKSE 1.6.13, Race Compatibility 1.68, and Ningheim 1.1. No Textures, no sounds, nothing and I'm still CTD'ing during Helgen between character creation and entering the keep. I've posted my issue in RaceComp's page, Ningheim's page, and Unofficial Skyrim Patch page, the only one to respond so far is TMPheonix, the author of racecomp. He said the warnings can be ignored and he has to remember to fix them. So far he's the only one to respond and you guys trying to help me also. I'm lost.....

You should try without any mods, and then with the unofficial patches. Other than that, I am unsure of what is causing this.

Latest update, removed ALL mods. Tried with only Dawnguard Race Compatibility installed with success.

Tried with only all the UKSP packs installed, success.

Tried with Dawnguard RC for UKSP & all the UKSP packs, CTD.

I'm in contact with the author of RC so I'll keep updating this as I get news or issues are corrected.

Ok, so far I've figured out that all of the unofficial patches work alone with cleaned esm's and so does the race compatibility mod BUT they don't work together with cleaned esm's BUT they do work together with dirty esm's? Thoughts?


But still won't work with SKSE and Ningheim race.....goddamnit.....

Hi ShadowGearX,

just read your post on the Ningheim support forum. You have FNIS installed, right? Could you try using a vanilla character, activating a pose (from FNIS, optional step), and then loading your Ningheim save afterwards? Otherwise, I would actually try a Skyrim install where the ONLY things you have installed are Skyrim, potential DLCs, RaceCompatibility, and The Ningheim. Don't do or install anything else. I personally have none of the USKP patches and BSA/ESM optimizations, and I have zero problems with crashes or whatsoever while I know some people who DO use USKP/Optimizations and have all kinds of odd issues. With comparable installs to mine, of course. Now, I'm not saying USKP and the like are bad, it's just that I always found this quite intriguing. All this optimization, and it doesn't benefit them.

I'll follow your thread now to see if we can get your game up and running.
