Dew
I've been trying to enchant my dagger with something good but everytime I try to do that, it says you can't enchant it with more than the item can hold or something. I'm not quite sure what this means, but what would you reccomend to put on a dagger? I've also been trying to enchant my steel crossbow but I'm having the same issue. bluepoo
For the deadric dagger i reccomend soultrap for 60 sec if you have the azuras star you can enchant anything you want.
Untouchable1
just put a Damage upon strike enchantment on it, thats all you really need without being complicated. you could maybe put Soultrap for 1 sec when strikes on it then right when you kill the creature you'll instantly have it soultrapped. cmac
It means that you have applied more magic into the dagger's enchantment than it can hold. Reduce the number or power of spells in the enchantment to get rid of this. All items that are enchantable have a certain upper threshhold, a limit on the amount of spellpoints that an item can hold. As a rule, the better an item is, the more enchantments it can hold. Daedric Tower Shields are especially good- they have the highest enchantment points in the game. The artifact Helm of Tohan has the second-highest enchantment threshhold, IIRC.
nfdouglas
Look in the upper right corner. Number on left cannot be greater than number on right.Fire might work wit a dagger. ;)
DreamOfTheRood
I've also been trying to enchant my steel crossboner but I'm having the same issue. Frankly, if you're trying to do damage, I'd recommend enchanting your arrows instead. That means you might want to get some better arrows, but if you're running the Treetop Village mod (highly recommended) that shouldn't be a problem. However, if you're going the route of fortifying yourself, it would be okay to enchant the bow. Now that I think of it, you could always enchant the bow with a Cast When Used spell. That might be what you want to do if you're trying to do damage. Malchik
Exquisite clothes are good for constant enchantments. If you don't have a fortify strength item pants of restore strength are very useful when facing greater bonewalkers!
InstInct
I wouldn't recommend putting add damage spells to your daedric dagger though, because so many creatures have reflect, especially the more powerfull ones, the damage can hit back at you with quite a sting, especially if you're playing difficulty +100, and also unless ur enchant is high you run out of charges pretty soon. Damage enchanted weapons are only very usefull against tough npc's like for example bolyn venam (master of house redoran). Anyway ur choice.
