custom posters

i was wondering if it is possible to make a poster that has a custom picture and can be posted anywhere ingame

i think it would be cool to post my pictures throughout the world.

not exactly lore friendly but it would be nice to customize my houses with my favorite pictures

 

 

perhaps even make it to where there are several different slots to use for the posters(eg one poster of a cat and then another of a screenshot) :thanks:

Not sure about being able to stick them anywhere, but I know colorwheels made a, uh, 'alternative' arena poster. Just a retexture though.

yeah i saw that but its not something i downloaded. what i mean is a picture i choose and post ingame

in the lost towers mod posters were made custom that could be hung with the assistant of decorator assistant, not that i cant seem to buy de, but anyway that might be a possible route

I gave this idea some thought.

 

Normally I'd respond negatively, but a certain little plugin for OBSE has come to my attention, which allows for some basic nifscope-like changes to a model in-game with the help of scripts.

 

This practically means that it *COULD* allow you to create retextures in-game, on the fly. The only problem is that screenshots don't have the proper size or format to be used as a texture.

 

However if some created command line program which would take care of this little problem... Well... It could be possible.

 

And if I let my imagination go a little further... It could even be possible to turn on a shader for the screen shot. For a nice artistic effect :). And a scripted spell, that'd come up with a menu that'd let you choose which poster you'd like to "stick" at the place you're looking at.
