DaniFiasco
Ok so my Skyrim has a very weird problem..Some characters lose their voice such as Saadia...n when i mean lose thier voice i mean they dont have their original voice thus i can only see the subtitle when they speak and when they do speak its not the voice that was intended for them...So i figure i might try reinstalling skyrim...But i have a question if i reinstall skyrim would i later on need to reactive my Mods or would they be activated already...Because if i have to reactivate my mods i rather just endure some Npcs with no voices..Its not a lot of charactes but some of em...Alot of the female Redguards i encounter have this problem such as Saadia and the Medicine woman in Falkreath...And also some other characters like the Hag in Makarath...So any advice before i proceed or is there away ard this bug without reinstalling skyrim.. Georgiegril
Before reinstalling, you might try the verify game files thing on steam. Much faster than a reinstall, and will replace any missing files, in case that is your problem.

Georgiegril
If you reinstall the Skyrim files only, and your current patch is the same as the patch you are downloading, then your mods and savegames should apply normally. However, any time you make a change, there is a chance that you will cause a game-breaking error. Moreover, if you verify the game files and it does not solve the problem then it is unlikely that the game files are where the problem lies.In that case, reinstalling Skyrim would be a waste of your time. If the verify game files did not solve the problem, you need to investigate your mods and savegame files as the culprit. To check if it is the savegame, simply start a new game (don't remove mods or anything, just press "new" instead of "continue" on the load screen.)If the problem does not appear in a new game, then you know you have a savegame problem. You can try going back to old complete saves (Look in your savegame folder for files that end in .ess, not .tmp or .bak)--If you find one that works, then you can play from there. If you can't find a working save game file, then you will need to start over.I recommend you look at the STEP guide to reverting to a vanilla skyrim--it is faster than reinstalling from steam If the problem id not solved by starting a new game, you should investigate your mods.Take a look at your BOSS log, and address any messages that are there.(If you don't use BOSS then that also could be the cause of your problem. You can get BOSS here, and a .)After you've addressed all the messages, including proper manual placement of your unrecognized mods, then copy/paste the text file of your BOSS log to a post, and enclose in spoilers, maybe someone can help you.
