Dubnoman
I want to use this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7716//? And this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12951//? I installed both, but it asked me if I wanted to overwrite four .nif files (skeleton, skeletonbeast, skeletonbeastfemale, skeletonfemale). I installed the weapons and quivers mod first and selected "no" to overwrites. Does it matter if I overwrite those four files (or not overwrite them)? Are they from vanilla Skyrim and have nothing to do with custom skeletons for either mod? I've seen those four files from other mods.
Dubnoman
Does anyone happen to know about this? I've seen those four .nif files before and I don't know if they are from vanilla Skyrim or mods. I'm just not sure if there is no harm in overwriting those files or if I'm supposed to choose not to overwrite those files. For example, for a mod that references those files, Dual Sheaths plus Shields on Back references them. See here, under the troubleshooting/FAQ part: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17746/? HowToTitty
i doubt this will apply to you anymore, but if anyone else needs this i will tell you what i know. If you are overwriting those files with files from another mod, or altering them in your own way it should not harm the game; for example i completely deleted them in order to make a mod i was using called DSPSOB compatible, and it didn't affect any of my other mods or any vanilla components of the game.
