Main menu taking too long to show up when pressing ESC (MCM?)

As the title said.

When I press ESC key to get into main menu in the middle of the game, it can takes over 10 seconds to appear.
Is Mod Configuration Menu maybe a culprit or too many mods? Appreciate the help!

It's mcm, and how many mods are using mcm. You'll just have to stop esc'ing.
