tiggerdyret
Hi, I tried to follow Gophers videos on Fallout 3 modding. It all went fine for a while, but i couldn't get the iron sights to work correctly, so i decided to follow his guide on the blackened patch as I would get the newer Fallout remastered (I have the file) to work instead of unofficial patch. I'm not sure what went wrong, but after the install I was crashing every five minutes. It was pretty hard to follow the tutorial as the video, the EVE site, and Paradox ignition Merge all said different things on the versions to use and everything seemed to be pretty much out of date be able to work together. So my question is how do I get FWE+MMM+EVE+WMK+ProjectBeauty+Iron sights+Fallout remastered to work together? There are so many files... Please help me! Purr4me
So my question is how do I get FWE+MMM+EVE+WMK+ProjectBeauty+Iron sights+Fallout remastered to work together? There are so many files... Please help me!My 1rst question is, what was used t install what.2nd, we, the remastered team does not support RHis or WMK. those are yours to deal with.the above combination as this post is forum side, it the most devastating combo you could possibly have wanted. No one wants to support that, way too many conflicting avenues of approach to fix the problems. Help? is asked for, so here, on the forums side, you have access to the best authors can give you, all contained in a clean nice set of links. you can start with "DO IT !" in bright blue letters in my siganture.Remastered is install very last regardless of how you installed the data, it's a;ways last. you move it up according to what weapons you want to rule, sense all the mods you have posted here contain attributes effecting almost all weapons, you can end up with a rather big mess. That combo is not for the timid. It requires thought, and a lot of it.The version of Remastered you have been supplied with is not compatible with the last updated version of (PI), it is ONLY compatible with the old version of (PI). we dropped support because of the updated data not complying with the products in production. No more arguments about it will be dealt with. use the older version as they were intended or don't use them at all.weapons, are custom made, altered to be other than default, not Vanilla. beyond the scope of Remastered purposes. It does not mean it won't work. it just means no support for mods we can't make patches for. Redundant.ProjectBeauty use the older version of the master Blackened patch in combo with the old version of (PI) to match the data flow. FWEMMMProjectBeautyEVE <---097 then THE (PI) , delete the old esp and esm from 097 first. And Project reality<--always last, even if there are other weather mods or interior/exterior mods.Basic: dont forget to delete the esp's of eve, not requires as they are rolled into PI's mod. If you were sent the last remaining copies of the updated re mastered patches for EVE, use the V one version instead of (PI)'s, it is more dominate and colorful, and complete. and old too. all original.WMK goes underneath all of this but you may corrupt EVE's stuff, there is a bridge and it's not compatible with remastered standards, it may work, but some weapons in eve will be mush. Iron sights will be the last one to deal with. of all of these, boss will sort them to a particular "popular suggested location, it's not written in stone they go there. Fomm 12.6, the older version is in the archives in the links I provided, the patch is used as an over write to obtain the updated template from the boss teams networks, after updating to the very latest version, you copy and back up that template else where and reinstall 12.6 version of fomm. place the template into it's folder so it will be updated. you can sort the mods now with confidence. use of any tools made after Nov 7th, 2012 will not be supported. fo3edit 3.0.15 or bellow only for our data. read the DO it on steam. best way to start out.kitty. tiggerdyret
Thanks alot, that made things alot clearer. I'm using NMM to install. I would much rather use Wrye Flash as I'm pretty accustomed to wrye bash for skyrim, but I can get it to work even though I installed Python. I made a merged patch with FO3edit. I'll try again from the start. Gopher did it so it must be possible, but I don't know how much time he spend on his merged patch. I don't have the skills to manually edit myself right now. Purr4me
"Gopher"Is a highly qualified tech, and his machine surpasses most as well as his skills, you are not expected to tame it as easy as it appears. It was done to give you an idea of what should be taking place, the video was made under an understanding of sound programing and a controlled setup environment. your not expected to have such a set up. No 2 machines are the same, habits, software's, mods, and procedures are not going to be the same. Just so you know, if you fail, do not be feeling stupid. The pro's here know all of this. It's why we offer support to you. All we can do is guide you in the right direction. No guarantees are ever given, not possible. My best from all of us on the fallout3 TeamKitty. tiggerdyret
It's great that people like you offer your knowledge to lesser people like me :smile:I'll start out with blackened - Fwe+MMM+EVE+PB+Remastered and see what happens if i add Iron sights or WMK, when i know all is running as it should. Just need to make sure I use the right Remastered files for that combo. In the guide it says the follow: Fallout Remastered: limited availability due to dev dramas, rumored public return.Fixes huge number of bugs in fallout 3. Use old Paradox Eve 1.03 and old Blackened.Use relevant compatibility patches (FWE/EVE/MMM/PB) that don't have "+" in filename. If you can't get remastered, you might instead try "Error Corrections": http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/16490 (Must follow readme, use patches & order) Would that mean?:Fallout Remastered.espFallout Remastered - FWE.espFallout Remastered - Mart's Mutant Mod.espFallout Remastered - Project beauty.espFallout Remastered - EVE V One (paradox Ignition merge).esp

tiggerdyret
I think that might been the problem all along, but I guess it won't hurt to start from scratch.
Purr4me
I think that might been the problem all along, but I guess it won't hurt to start from scratch. If you have the hard drive space and the time and want to know just what gets installed? there is another way to inspect, select, and repackage your own personal single mod as a one touch operation, you still need to edit things, and the order of these things are a part of that editing. The non complicated way is simple use of fomms built in-features, what is does is as it installs a mod, and it finds items that will be overwritten, It automatically builds an encrusted set of the original files it's going to be overwriting .so, before that even takes place, you can use fomm in another way. IF you wish, i'll type that out here. it will be a waste because it will get burried. let me know.Kitty
tiggerdyret
I'm not sure I understand, but I'm willing to do alot of work to make a stable game, so bring it on! I've followed the first session on the do it guide (steam installation), installed Archieve and FOSE, but no mods yet. I ran the intro and waited for the game to load the DLC, but when I exited it came up with a didn't respond message. I was playing the game from the launcher. Afterwards I loaded up the save with FOSE and exited with no crash and than again from launcher (same save) with no crash either. Is this just what to expect from fallout or do i need to fix this before modding? Edited May 29, 2013 by tiggerdyret

Is this just what to expect from fallout or do i need to fix this before modding? That indicates a graphics glitch, it is laid out as you posted in a controlled fashion, with that leaves only the graphics settings or the chip-set of the video card has the wrong drivers "possible" for your machine.the test is if these small bugs go away when you change the in game settings to anything other than Large.out side vault 101, bellow to the right is the wasteland puddle. I use that as an indicator of the graphics rendering capabilities. If on a large setting, that water appears a greenish green, a pastel color and is not responsive, then the driver is the wrong one for the game and your machines equipment. when you change it, and it now appears darker and does in fact respond as water should indicates the game software is fine, it's the OS drivers that wrong. Direct-x drivers are all the same per application, in a 32bit environment, all machines use one type, the 64 bit Environment use yet another. Both Environments share a common x86 set of files regardless of system type, Windows 8 is the exception, here in this application, Direct x is tied into the OS directly, so you can't use any software from Windows 8, direct-x stuff on a 7 machine. verified by placing the D3D9.DLL from windows 8 system into a 7 game directory, a Microsoft window showing this will appear. But, also in windows 8, the reverse applied test shows the same windows only telling you the files are corrupted when in fact, they are not.our application blows away automation. automation is setup to prevent this sort of thing. This procedure is a diagnostic trick to Identify what is going on. windows 95 NT RTM had built in direct-x tool support, you could see in that tool the drivers replaced by what. that's no longer available in today's systems. it's handled in another way. the short cut I laid out here is to simply show an instance of clarity, a method to test with. simple. bottom line is, the OS setup needs to be just right, use the games software from a default setting to Identify where and what needs to be corrected first. your post shows that stage. Today, the site is under overhaul so, I can only assume. your waiting..that's the hope.the laid out scenario here is a staring point for any one who doubts their machines readiness, but is not yet what I plan to post. kitty.
