bben46
Windows does not work the way you think it should. It works the way it was designed to work by Microsoft, and Bethsoft has to work with that. When you install the game, registry keys are set in the registry - moving the game without first uninstalling then reinstalling doesn't change those registry keys - so, when it looks for things based on where the registry key says it is it cannot find it. Unless you know what you are doing, editing the registry is not recommended - a mistake could make your computer unbootable and loose all of your data - not just for the game, but for everything on the computer. FONV uses steam to install - and the registry keys are based on wherever steam is installed. You can move the entire steam folder, including all of the steam games without reinstalling everything by using this.https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?p_faqid=
lordfuzzle12
why would it need that bullshit to MOD the game?
JimboUK
That BS is nothing to do with mods, as said, it's how Windows works, mods don't use or touch your registry. Run steam and it should fix the registry entry for you.
bben46
The registry is required. Whining about it isn't going to change that.Gratuitous profanity is not only not required, it is against the rules here. Please use your week off to read the rules. Warned, one week time out for gratuitous profanity on the forums.Note that creating a new account to get around this will result in a permanent ban.Topic lockedbben46
