TheGreatFalro
So this is weird, i have reinstalled skyrim now to default 17 times, with mods and no mods, and am always missing one file, i downloaded skse now missed two files, ran validate files in steam, only one file was replaced, still missing that one file, no matter what i do, what tips I followed, what youtube videos I have watched and went through step by step, that one file is still missing, now here is the odd thing, its suppose to install said missing file after running validate file integrity, however even though i saw a clear spike in the download page on steam, that file is still missing, now one thinks its being installed in the wrong file directory, however, not knowing which file is missing, its hard to determine what should be done about it. I looked for software, launchers, different mod managers, and even went as far as to ask a friend for a copy of his skyrim folder to see any differences in mine. its been about 9 days now, i got it to launch but now as soon as the fog get on the menu in game before the menu comes up it crashes to desktop. 0.0 so even though i got past not launching at all, its still missing an important file if it is not one file it is another. for goodness sake I would just like an easy way out at this point, to fix it. is there supposed to be a "Skyrim.BSA" only have the esm. any ideas? It is a legal version bought from steams store. Skyrim not legendary or special edition. The mods are from nexus or steam workshop. Load orders have been confirmed to be in correct load order. Bug fixes and unofficial patches has been explored. Anti virus disabled and plus exceptions have been set even on windows defender, admin permissions have also been made permanent. A search for duplicates have also been made, virus scans plus restart system safe mode virus scans have been made to insure it is not a virus related issue. C++ - directx version + VCRedist has been confirmed by 4th party to be correct and accounted for.One file will always fail to validate, that it normal. It's a configuration file used by Steam, and it's changed as soon as it downloads, so it's nothing to worry about. If you are having a problem, that's not it.
