Aion1975
Hey,realy don´t know if I´m right her and sorry for my bad Englisch. I´m on to build up Jamaica Plain and tried to find snapable clean road/street tiles, to rebuild that Streets in this settlement but I can´t find anything, or I´m just a little bit blind :D .Anyone an Idea where I can find some or how to do it. I´ve tried concrete blocks from Capital Wasteland, Driveway ramps and walkways from snap ´n build and ramps from soe pack ....but it looks realy ugly. thx
YouDoNotKnowMyName
That is because there are no "clean street tiles" in the game (except the ones from the start of the game). Clean street parts would have to line up perfectly to get a good looking street, so that means the developers would have had to make lots of different street parts. With the "damaged" looking parts, they can make the streets in the shapes that they want them and don't have to make "perfectly fitting" pieces for everything. If you place two "damaged" street tles a bit into each other, nobody sees that the parts are not actually aligned. If you place two "clean" and "perfect" street parts into each other, you would see pretty clearly that those parts were not ment to be used like that. I am currently working on a big mod (a custom island, lots of "clean" streets there!) and I am running into the same problem: Clean streets means more work because I have to make them myself, damaged looking streets mean I can use the things that are already in the game, but it would look bad. I hope this explaination helps ... By the way, your english is not that bad ...
Aion1975
Hi thanks,Yes, good idea for the future.i´ve manged that with that mod (forgoten the name :D ) with that you can move tiles with num pad, moved the dark concret blocks in hight a little so the the ramps between the hights did´nt dominate and edges did´nt look above straight streets, made the points there roads cross with lightend concrete walkways also used wallcaps between roads and footways. I demarcated the concrete drivewayramps with walls so left and right a quarter looks like footway.36 h road building in Jamaica Plain, but now it looks (a little bit) fine
