DrOuroboros
As the title say for some reason assaulting a Guard in any hold later in the game causes no reaction. It should be registered as crime like in the begining of the game.. Assaulting civilians however is still considered a crime I don't know what causes this bug but i have suspicions about quest "Season Unending" may be the cause.. Since despite being or not being a Thane or completing Thieve's Guild city influence quests dosen't seem to be the cause. But after completing main storyline and this quest.. weird crap starts to happen around all Skyrim holds. Anyone noticed this? Or any possible fix for this? Cause this totaly ruins immersion.. assault on hold guards or Jarls in fact should be considered a heavy crime at all times. (And yes same thing happens when attacking Jarls , no reaction) example video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SasXGipkNk Edited June 5, 2013 by DrOuroboros
gsmanners
It might help if your weapon wasn't so powerful that it killed the guard on the second blow. That's the thing. The guards' disposition is obviously higher than it starts out the game with. So, you can get away with maybe three or four assaults. Try attacking a guard with your fists and see what happens. gsmanners
I agree with you, actually. The thing is, people never save as often as they should, and heaven forbid there be consequences to actions like that (especially attacking a Jarl which should be a strict death penalty offense).
