Werne
Okay, i'm uninstalling the game, and will install Fallout 3.. Should i install the DLC's too, or not and install the patch? For the time being, don't install the DLCs. And make sure to install a US English patch from the site I linked. M48A5
I would like to expand on Werne's instructions. Since you have the two disc version, I assume you installed the game in the default location. If so, you must uninstall the game and reinstall it outside of program files. During the installation of the game you should see a screen that asks if you want a default installation or custom installation. Chose custom install. In the text box that appears, type the install path you would like. Some people use "C:/Games". I used "C:/". This will place the game outside of the User Access Control and allow FOSE to make the necessary changes to the game. You will also have to download the latest Games for Windows Live since the one on the disc is outdated and will not work.
Orkkec
Well, i've put it into "D:/Games" (the same way as i've installed it before on custom install) The "Games for Windows Live" does not work, and even though i do have it installed on my PC due to me, playing Dawn of War 2, the GfWL does not appear.. (which i'm kinda happy for, since it's just annoying the living sh... out of me) Edited June 6, 2013 by Orkkec
Werne
@M48A5 He installed the game in D:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Falloubleh\etc so I ignored that. As for GFWL, I always disable it, game runs better without it. Edited June 6, 2013 by Werne
Orkkec
US English patch that clearly says "US english version only" for a "czech version" of the game? Would that actually work?
Werne
US English patch for a "czech version" of the game? Would that actually work?It should. You see, the language is actually embedded inside Fallout3.esm and Fallout3.exe, also some loose files (end/start videos). Once the patch installs, it will replace Fallout3.exe and, I believe, Fallout3.esm with english ones. The warning "For english only" is probably because it will replace the language, I don't know. But in any case, make a backup before installing it (just make a copy of the ~/Bethesda Softworks/Fallout 3/ folder) so you don't have to reinstall if it screws up.

EDIT: Everything is still in Czech after i installed the patch.. *facepalms hard into the table* Edited June 6, 2013 by Orkkec
Orkkec
Oh well, i guess i'll just stick to mods that don't require FOSE used, since there's nothing i can really do about the language set.. Oh well, thanks for all the attempts to help me, and sorry about my earlier stupidity/offending/missunderstanding/everything ..

But did you try if FOSE works? I did, gave me the same crash again.. Oh well, putting in my "Fallout Vault" and "Mini underground armory" mods back, as well as my save, and gonna attempt to play around with the RTS that is actually NOFOSE compatible :DD Thanks for all the attempts to help me though..
