How to make it so a custom race uses a specific body nif instead of the default one?

Hey, sorry if this has been asked before or it it's a stupid question, but how would I make it so a custom race uses a specific body nif file instead of the default one for male/female?

I've been trying to follow a few tutorial on how to make a custom race but I've been hitting a few snags.

In xEdit the race record has a WNAM entry which for the stock playable races is filled with SkinNaked [ARMO:00000D64]. There is an entry for this skin assignment in the Creation Kit, just do not recall where on the race record window it might be.

 

What you can do, is create your own armor record with its own armor addon records (torso, hands and feet) and assign it to this entry on your race record. Just make sure that on the custom armor addon record that you have your custom race marked as the only race that can use it.
