darinwong
I'm trying to retexture the gannon family tesla armor, but my retexture does not appear in game. I tried it in a modless instance with only my retexture enabled and it still does not appear. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thank you :D https://drive.google.com/file/d/199nL5TfDJsN6KCjWXK2rj7xW1KJoJcKv/view?usp=sharing https://modwat.ch/u/Derwiny
M48A5
Did you change the texture path in the .nif file to point to where the new textures were installed? Did you toggle Archive Invalidation after adding the new textures? Edited June 4, 2021 by M48A5
darinwong
Did you change the texture path in the .nif file to point to where the new textures were installed? Did you toggle Archive Invalidation after adding the new textures? Sorry for the late reply. I'm retexturing a base game armor so I don't have a nif file to edit (it being inside a base game .bsa). I'm using MO2 and I disable archive invalidation, restarted MO2 and enabled it to no avail. I tried using another gannon family tesla armor retexture on the nexus but it didn't work either. M48A5
If you use a .bsa browser (like the one included in FOMM), it is very easy to get the .nif file. In order for the re-texture to work, the path to the texture must be an exact match to the original texture path. Otherwise, the game will not know where to look for the new texture. Or it can be added with an .esp file. Once the .dds and _n.dds file are installed, you must toggle archive invalidation for the change to take effect.
