firsTraveler
Just installed Steam version of F3 on my new (since last of many plays) computer (Win8-64bit w/nVidia GTX card). When is select play from the launcher or directly running the .exe I get this error: The ordinal 42 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Windows\SYHSTEM\xlive.dllAny help please
M48A5
Go here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/LIVE/PC/DownloadClient Download and install the latest copy of Games for Windows LIve. Then get FOSE: http://fose.silverlock.org/ to launch the game using the FOSE launcher to disable GFWL.
firsTraveler
Ya, I already tried that. It doesn't fix the problem. If I try to run the live client it says there's no internet conection and crashes. And I still get the F3 error.
hello987654321
Download the Games for Windows Live disabler from here: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/1086/? Alternatively, you can download FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager) then go to Tools-->Install Tweaker-->Check the "Use fake xlive dll" Either way works. I think very inexperienced people still actually download Games for Windows Live.
