I cannot attach files

A few times I've tried to attach some files to my posts, but I'm greeted with an Error This upload failed message.

 

I'm currently using Chrome as my browser and I'm trying to attach an image that is 63 KB.

 

I also tried using the advanced uploader but I get the same message.

 

I haven't had this problem in the past but now I always get it. Is there a way around it?

Maybe take a look at the percentage bar of the available attachment space of your account you already used up here:

It's limited to 1000KB per user, and in sum over all attachments ever uploaded, from what I can tell.

 

I wouldn't be surprised, if there wasn't a proper error message for reaching the limit, yet, and what you got is what's shown instead.

It would probably be useful if the message was, "You have no attachment file space remaining," though.
