Meandmine
I was playing skyrim, very happily, when I went into Vlindrel Hall, and walking out I noticed that my warpaint had disappeared. I couldn't figure out what happened, still can't, no warpaints work at all, currently, but while trying to fix it a massive neckseam appeared. I tried uninstalling all body/face mods and it still is there. On top of that, my body is about ten shades darker than my face. When I go into showracemenu it fixes the body color, but if I unequip and requip my armor it reappears. The neck seam I'm not too worried about as I am rarely close enough to notice, but the different colors and lack of warpaint are really bugging me, if anyone has had a similar problem or could help me in any way I would greatly appreciate it. prod80
You happen to have been messing around in the CK actors data? What race do you use, what body, which skin textures, etc...
Meandmine
Never even opened the CK, using Redguard, and at that point it was all vanilla, I've also used, in any combination you'd like to imagine, UNP, UNPB, Bella's Better Females, UNPB Sporty Sexy Map, and Xenius Character Enhancement I heard it might be FixTintGamma in the enbseries.ini, or also a main file problem, so I verified integrity of the game cache and neither helped. prod80
I think you need to take a look between mismatches between face and body textures due to your various body replacement mods and make sure all your skin textures (head, body, hands, feet, vampire) come from the same package... if you currently have UNP body and Bella's head texture and who knows what, it can become problematic. It can be solved probably by either installation order (and pick the right things when it is asking to overwrite) or simply install a full skin texture like SG Female Renewal (if the issue is just with Females) overwriting whatever textures you currently have. Meandmine
I'll try the full body textures, but I've tried this with no mods at all and get the same result, on redguard females only. Edit: tried the full skin texture and it mostly works, but if I change skin color only the body changes, not the face, and they don't start at what I want them to be, so it's not very helpful. prod80
So open your ..\Data\textures\actors\character\redguardfemale folder.. there should be a file called 'femalehead_msn.dds' counting 5.462 KB if you installed SG textures. Then it should work. However, do you happen to have a custom race which is a redguard? In that case you should check if there is a folder under ..\Data\textures\actors\character\ which has the name of your custom race... and inside should be its textures. Perhaps you have to replace those. No mods at all can be textures still... when I start a new game and use redguard with warpaint I cannot duplicate what you see. It's a bit weird :\ You gotta check if all your textures and meshes are correct and are based on the same texture pack and body meshes to make sure they are all compatible with each other. Meandmine
I have that file, and I don't have a custom race at all. My main problem is I've used all of the above listed mods together and it worked fine, but it's not working currently now, and I don't know why. prod80
uninstall them [skin texture replacers] all... then check your folders if everything that should be gone is gone1... check in game if you character colors respond as it should2... install mods again... 1- Manually remove whatever is left. You can also just temporarily rename the whole character folder to test, that will disable all texture replacers.2- If you character does not respond as it should when you don't have texture replacers you should see elsewhere... XCE, ECE, RaceMenu, etc. Uninstall those and check again.
Meandmine
I completely uninstalled and reinstalled skyrim, and even running it with no mods I get a neck seam, weird texture disparity, and lack of warpaint. Only on redguard females still. Edited June 11, 2013 by Meandmine
Meandmine
Okay, it has something to do with being a vampire, as every normal character can set their skin color and warpaint. Changing from redguard vampire to redguard and back to a vampire does not fix the problem. Having isolated that, I have no clue where to go, or how to fix it from there.
