oguz350 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Speaking with silence Mercer frey won't open the puzzle door.i havent e saved game.Please help me:( Mercer may not unlock the Nordic puzzle door with the dragon claw lock.
Tidus44 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 There is no dragon claw key for the puzzle door, Mercer "picks" the lock on the door to open it. A few known bugs exist with this quest and particularly Mercer and the puzzle door. Did you or a companion block Mercer so he could not reach the door and was stopped before he got to the door? If yes, then reload an earlier save and try again. If he wasn't blocked or prevented from reaching the door, leave him and go back a ways in the ruin. Wait an hour (in game time) and then re-walk to the door and see if that fixes it. If he isn't blocked, but has walked a bit towards the door and stopped, get behind him and use your PC to push him towards the door. That may see him complete opening the door. If none of these work, the only thing I can suggest is try an earlier save and try again.
Fiddlewidget Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 For anyone still having this issue, there is a trigger just prior to coming into the room that for some reason sometimes fails to fire. Try leading Mercer back out of the room and around the corner. He will usually "trip" the trigger, do an about face, and go open the lock. Works for me but results may vary, of course.
