Animation
All, Before I got F3 for myself, I was watching my friend play, and he told me about the Tenpenny vs the Ghouls quest. My inclination would be to broker a peace between them, as he did, but then the head ghoul goes all traitor and the humans are all eaten. So, I'm really conflicted. This makes me want to insult the ghouls in my game so I have a karma-free reason to shoot them. However, I'm wondering. Has anyone tried brokering the peace, letting the ghouls move in, and then capping the main ghoul? He seems to be the traitor. Would the peace last then? Has anyone tried? Or do you just have all the ghouls and humans alike in the tower go hostile then? If you cant have a lasting peace option, I'm inclined to just whack the ghouls using the no karma loss route ("You're a Zombie!"). Or will that screw me in Ghoultown? Thanks! UnholyShadow
I would just ignore the quest all-together. It's pretty pointless. I just go up and hit tenpenny off the tower with a sledgehammer, and leave things alone after that.

TheOutlander
Killing Roy (the head Ghoul), just ends up with you having to kill his buddy (and the girl Ghoul if she's in the same area when you do it), which usually leaves you a Merchant down at Tenpenny Tower. Personally I just capped Roy and his Ghoul pals while they were still in the Metro When it comes down to it, it's either kill three Ghoul bigots or several dozen human bigots - noting the fact that most of the human ones are just ill informed (ie if you do help the Ghouls move in peacefully many of the people in the Tower are actually happy they did - before Roy goes all murderer). Killing Roy and his crew won't affect your standing with any other Ghouls in the Wasteland (including Underworld).
Kellao
well for my character Nacht. there was a funny story... well first he enlisted jericho as a body guard. two of them blew up megaton and went to tennpenny. Nacht begin living the "rich and famous" life style. had him go hunt those ghouls while in the tunnel Jericho died to a very powerful glowing ghoul and Nacht (with the help of a certain mod) became ghoulified killed all the ghouls but didnt realize he was a ghoul t'ill he saw his reflection in his pistol. he killed everyone at tenpenny tower knowing they wouldnt except him. So basiclly I have one entire tower to myself and thats it.so I killed everyone. which was funny cause it didnt say I failed the quest even though both factions were eliminated by a third party
Animation
Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll be killing some Ghoul bigots and keeping my vendors. :)
sombrehombre
From a practical standpoint, the ghouls offer better prices once they take over the shops in the Tenpenny lobby. You won't lose any vendors.
askong72
But you will loose the rewards from some of the human because they won´t be able to give you some unmarked quest. Ghouls give nothing and in long games the prizes differences are seamless.
jaysus
the ghouls give you a mask which befriends all ghouls and makes travelling DC alot more relaxed...what i dont like is the fact that you gain evil karma for going on a revenge crusade against these traitorous ghouls after they murdered the whole place... and the fact that they murder everyone in the first place... they really are zombies in the end it seems... kinda racistic from beth's dev side if you ask me, humans are honest and ghouls hideous liars lol
