SSE Notes and letters

âI am not sure this would be doable. However, I would like to have under the books part of the inventory, somehow added, a letters and notes catergory. We have books, recipes, and spell tomes. And yet, we don't have letters/notes? Either that, or add a letter/note prefix or suffix, so it can be sorted that way.

It is not possible to add a new category to the inventory or containers. Well, someone with knowledge of the UI might be able to visually create a category but no idea if it would actually be usable. What I do know can happen: items can be given that open separate containers and the notes and / or letters put inside of those. The items that open the containers can be made to dynamically change their weight based on the items stored inside.

 

My Inventory Management System mod is an example of this. But it does not offer containers for notes and letters separately.

 

That said, Legacy of the Dragonborn renames many of the book items to better differentiate the type so that they can sort properly within their system.
