LE Newbelicious and Totally Overwhelmed!

Not even sure where to start.

First of all this game is STOOPID awesome!

All the more so now that I'm checking out some of the amazing mods you've all made for the game.

I guess I'm looking for some suggestions on a few mods I'd like to find and use so I'll let you know what I'm looking for.

First off, I'd like a better map. I've seen a few that look pretty cool, more detailed, roads mapped out etc. but as I'm not a programmer or a modder I'm confused with all the acronyms you all use when describing which mods work with which versions of the game, thus the source of much of my "overwhelming" confusion.

I'd also like a better menu system. The favorites button is okay but really not so much. It's just not very user friendly or even useful in the heat of the moment.

I've also read some stuff here and there about "sorters". I'm hella Gamer OCD and like to know where all my stuff is so this one is critical. I pick up and keep nearly every book I see unless I'm POSITIVE I already have it but want to be able to find them again later. So with out reorganizing each and every book shelf I own each time I try to add to my library I'm screwed.

I suppose that's it for now.

I have the NMM and have successfully used it to get a sexier Lydia (my Whiterun housecarl) but have had no success in getting her some sexier clothes using the "Casual bikini, shoes, gloves, stockings for UNP UNPB BBP CBBE ADEC" mod.

I've also been able to use "Calientes Female Body Mod Big Bottom Edition -CBBE- but the only reason I know it's working properly is because Adrienne's dead corpse is currently lying in the street outside my house and when I load the mod and then run out and take her clothes she's way more stacked than without the mod. I've not been able to run a similar test with Lydia as even when I take everything she's carrying, she's still wearing some peasant's dress.

Oh, that reminds me, any downside to taking all the gold my housecarl is carrying?

Aside from what I've mentioned, I've not altered the original game whatsoever so far.

I know this is a ton of rambling billshut but any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

SKYUI for sorting. This will tell you what books have been read, and allow a vastly better organized menu. The newest beta includes a good favorites menu.

 

Here are the useful terms. USKP = Unofficial Skyrim Patch; SKYUI = Skyrim User Interface Mod; MCM = Mod Customization Manager (It is part of SKYUI)

 

SKSE = Skyrim Script Extender. You should install this manually. Many mods require this.

ENB = A plugin that will change how Skyrim looks completely. Needs to be installed manually, and may not be available on the nexus. Look up youtube videos to see how it changes. Many of the ENB mods found on this site are presets, and do not include the ENB plugin itself.

 

SKYUI and SKSE is a must. Many mods rely on SKYUI's MCM system. USKP is heavily recommended, as it fixes a great deal of oversights and bugs.

 

Skyrim Tweaks is also a very important mod, if you want to fine tailor your game. This allows you to change a vast amount of settings, such as critical chance % to how far lights will load.

 

 

Here are body mod abbreviations

CBBE = Big Breast Female Body Mod; UNP = Skinny Female Body Mod; UNPB BBP = The UNP Skinny Female Body with bigger breasts and breast physics; ADEC = ridiculously large breasted female body mod
