fallout3hudson
Alright since many people no longer play this game due to fallout nv, having better armor's. I'm looking for input on armor idea's None to flashy i don't want it to take me a year to do one amor. Anyways im looking for input from my fellow wanderers about lore friendly armor that would bring you back to play fallout 3 if it was there in game, anything that looks like it could have a back story also im looking for that one armor i could really get into that could have some variations. Something that you think you would see in fallout 4 maybe?you can either pm me here post to this.
charwo
The raider armors are crap, so are the lather armors which ALL have one sleeve. Now mind you the things I will suggest will be green world compatible, but if you want to go vanilla, think long and hard about how desert nomads dress themselves for brutally hot days, using layers to shield themselves from the sun and creating an air conditioning effect. This doesn't match the 50s kitsch, but I always felt the 50s kitsch was an echo from the pre-war, and maybe to a lesser degree from the Vaults. The world would have moved on. Mostly some of the designs are great, but you need to think bulkier and layers. The Merc Troublemaker outfit is most probably post war appropriate but at higher levels, whatever people are wearing if they aren't proper armors should have the flak vests from the Vault Security uniform. A lot of raiders shouldn't look like the punks from Road Warrior, they should look closer to Joshua Gram's outfit, durable leather and canvas clothes with padding and armor wherever they have weak points. And the best part is that provided you have permission from the person who made Tailor Made, that mesh work has already been done. All you'd need to do is erase the 101 on back and possible paint on DCPD in the pattern seen on Joshua Graham. Here's what I would recommend: 1. Keep the Mad Max leather jacket thing for specialized leather armor like the Wanderer's Amror and such, but the Leather Armor should take the mesh of the leather armor from waist down, then add the mesh from the legion armor that is made out of football/motorcycle football torso pads (as in Leather armor from Fallout 1&2) with the mesh from Anchorage's winterized amror on the arms to get the padding. I say this because all the combat armor laying around for 200 years, its likely the chest plates most likely to be destroyed and most sensible people aim center mass. The pants can be whatever color you want, but the top should follow the color scheme as set in Fallout, as the drab would fit in well in a desolate wastelands but not be out of place in a realistic plant cover of Potomac Watershed. 2. You want a Combat Jacket, look at the combat Leather Jacket Mark II from the first two games. Start with the Tunnel Snakes jacket, remove insignia on back then puff it out and color as per Fallout 2.It would probably be as puffy as so, and I think you can assume some anti-ballistic and anti shrapnel weaves salvaged and put in there: http://images.search.yahoo.com/images/view;_ylt=A0PDoS4.NMNRkiUANSqJzbkF;_ylu=X3oDMTBlMTQ4cGxyBHNlYwNzcgRzbGsDaW1n?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fimages%3F_adv_prop%3Dimage%26va%3Dpadded%2Bleather%2Barmor%26fr%3Dyff80c%26tab%3Dorganic%26ri%3D13&w=1202&h=1331&imgurl=img2.etsystatic.com%2F000%2F0%2F6664294%2Fil_fullxfull.301090118.jpg&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Ffuebook.net%2Falskinder2%2Fpadded-leather-armor&size=527.7KB&name=%3Cb%3EPadded+Leather+Armor%3C%2Fb%3E&p=padded+leather+armor&oid=0dc75a2dbb0a55bb72592a5ad1862d1f&fr2=&fr=yff80c&tt=%3Cb%3EPadded+Leather+Armor%3C%2Fb%3E&b=0&ni=128&no=13&ts=&tab=organic&sigr=11if3nlk7&sigb=13glom6m0&sigi=11seiuoe0&.crumb=73r245rT/px&fr=yff80c 3. I've got an awesome idea for a change for Enclave officers, although it will require using NV meshes, meaning that you'd only be able to offer the textures with instructions on how to upload the NV Meshes, in this case Oliver's uniform. But honestly, what I'd like more of are clothes: namely jackets and lab coats and the General's Uniform overcoat and the like which can be overlaid on other things. And the suits without the dangling ties, ties done up properly, and the dirty businesswear made clean, and more women's prewar clothes and all of them in the post war period need to chuck the high heels in favor of practical flats. Have you ever walked across uneven terrain in heels? I have: the Vault boots for women are prefect for traction and not getting your feet stuck in mud, but those danty heels in the prewar wear wouldn't survive the walk across Rivet's City's drawbridge. Seriously, they would get stuck in the holes!
